@x814xmafia_psn said in I asked before and I'll ask again.:

Just finished the Moments and Missions for the April POTM Program.

All I need to do is lock in the cards.

I currently have 222K in stubs.

IF I sell the TN cards, and don't go for Buxton, I'll have enough to put in a Buy Order for Trout.

But that would probably take all my stubs.

So, who would you rather have: LS Trout or POTM Buxton.

If it matters, I mainly play offline; but will play an Event here and there.

I could also use the stubs (what I have and what I'll get for selling the TN) and buy some lower priced Diamonds and finish off a few of the LS Collections.

I know most of the LS cards will be QS value eventually and the TN will probably stay high.

So, I'm going to take a poll. I'll check back before the 2nd Inning drops to see what the majority is and go from there.

    1. Lock them in and play with Buxton until a better OF comes along or until you save up for Trout.

    2. Sell the TN cards and put in a Buy Order for Trout and be set at CF until a 99 Griffey/Mays is released.

    3. Sell off the TN cards and go in a Diamond buying spree and try to finish multiple collections?

So it really all depends on you. For me I play online and I know there is going to be a huge collection in like September. So I want to collect as many cards as possible, I would lock them in and then just save stubs over time to collect the rest of LS

Yeah. In years past the LS Diamonds dropped in cost once better options were added.

But with these parallels; I'm not sure.

As for the LS Collection; I don't care about Chipper. But as a Red Sox fan; I want that Ortiz.

I love Buxton, but TBH I was fine with his LS card. So I am kinda wishing I just did the missions/moments and got all the MA up until Buxton and sold off all my Topps Now cards. But i am not gonna beat myself up over it. I have Trout already, and would pick Trout over the 2 if I had to. Plus he goes a long way towards full LS collection.

I have trout and henderson in my outfield already. I plan on doing the potm all the way up to Buxton. I dont need him. I'll put potm ohtani at first and move gallo to right.

I'll complete the potm program to grt Buxton when the cards aren't so expensive. Not to self tho dont sell topps cards next inning lol

Problem is, those cards needed to complete POTM program will stay high. Not as high as currently but eventually they will all be needed for for another program. If you don't have them then, it will be crazy expensive.

This, that collection is big and I think it will be even bigger this year as they have changed up everything else so have to assume it will be different. Every Card counts so yes TN is good profit now but those cards will be needed later and will cost you more later then you sold them for today

It's a tough call, but I would prioritize the POTM/Topps Now cards. I know it's tempting to earn all the cards for free and sell off to make a ton of quick stubs, but those cards may be tougher to come by later in the year. The margins on the market have been better lately and I've been making about 100K per day flipping. I would suggest locking everything in for Buxton (those cards will probably be needed for the mega collection later in the year anyway) and then flip to get Trout. I did that myself and got Trout a few days ago, and I'm already back to over 300K in stubs. I also got 99 Jackie yesterday, so now I'm slowly working my way through the rest of the AL since I already locked in the Angels.

You do know that huge collection for locking in all the lighting cards only netted you Castellanos and Carrassco last year

The only answer here is Trout. You may never hold enough stubs to buy him again and he’s the best card in the game. Plus he’s the biggest gate keeper for the full collection.

Don’t ever put yourself in a position to spend ALL your stubs at once. Be sure to leave yourself a flipping budget.

I would take my balance of stubs and flip it to gain 150k today and complete collection and buy Trout in the morning.
