Anyone else have players in the wrong position on defense?

I was playing a game today (I have auto shift turned off) where my opponent hit a weak liner right where my 1st basemen should have been standing but no one was there.

I went and checked the replay and for some reason my 1st basemen was standing on 1st base at the time of the pitch as if he was playing “guard the lines”. However, no one else on my team was doing so and I went to check defensive positioning to confirm no shift was on.

I think this is the 2nd time this has happened and wondered if anyone else experienced a bug like this?

Try using a different first baseman. There is a hidden statistic for intelligence that doesn’t display for legal reasons.
