What’s the lowest a player has ever started rated in a game and ended go diamond by years end, because Richard Rodriguez is making a case.

Idk if it's the record, but last year I had to create a Ticket for SDS to create a correct Jake Cronenworth, he was listed with no picture and set as a RP, finished being one of San Diego's stage 4 Finest cards at 97

As a Pirates fan, Rich-Rod is one of the only positives. He is killing it.
Come on...if you would have been told they were 13-16 at this point you would have taken that.

Well, you have to take multiple aspects into account.
First it is a three year average with the current year counting for the bulk of it but he'll still need to get enough innings to reduce the impact of the previous seasons. He pitched 80 plus innings in the last two years and only 12 this season.
next you have to look at more than his ERA. It looks like he has made big leaps so far in reducing Hits Per 9 and Walks per 9 and HR per 9 but he would take a small ding because his strike outs per 9 has gone down.
He's been great so far but the question is can he sustain it through the whole season to keep earning upgrades every two or three updates.

Randy arozarena right? Because he wasn’t even in the game at the start of last season

Devin Williams last year?
Was Williams a Common to start out?
If I'm not mistaken, a few years back Judge started out as a Common and went Diamond within a few months.

Postseason Arozarena has to be it -- he had 125 across the board lol I still couldn't fit him into the starting 9, but that has to be the correct answer.

I went back and looked, and I believe Williams was a 51 to start the year and ended as a diamond, with a 99 finest as well.
Anyone know of a player with a first card that had a lower overall than 51 that ended diamond that year?

Jesus they bumped Arozarena so [censored] fast. He was the flavor of the month during the playoffs though. They gave him a diamond with fewer than 100 plate appearances in the majors.
Now they have a diamond player who has been outhit this season by Yadier Molina in every possible category.

In 2017, Aaron Judge started the year as common and he went Diamond on the last roster update.
