You face better hitters the higher you go up, you'd likely find your ERA rising as your ranked rating does.

Thats why i stay at like 700 😂

It’s like all those “I’m good at pitching “ posts; no, you suck, you’re just worse at hitting comparatively

If your struggling hitting, take two strikes every at bat until you are seeing the ball well. This will not only help your vision and or nerves, but will get the opponent pitcher to start pounding the zone.

Sounds like all of your opponents have the same problem. One I get to HOF difficulty I don’t really enjoy the game but will probably try to go to World Series at some point in the year.

Good news is you can get the player with just cumulative wins

Its like chess, The higher you go the higher elo (skill) you face so your not only facing someone who can hit better your most likely facing better pitching

Once I get to 700, it’s like a 5 year old playing Kasparov. I’m the 5 year old in this example.

I’m just getting too old. 36 and the fastballs just sneak up on me too quick.

I’m 9-0 and would be an above average player if I had to guess. I do not want to play on legend, at all

Lol I'm 40 half blind and have one hand that works at times. I'm still ok, still make WS most years.

I would be in WS tier by now if I didn't get punished for getting perfect perfects and my opponent being rewarded for swinging late and missing the ball with the pci. It's ridiculous that you can get a perfect swing and it be a line out or ground out, but a guy can bat Ohtani vs a lefty, no have ball in the pci at all AND be late (close to very late) and it end up as a no doubter. Complete joke.

If your struggling hitting, take two strikes every at bat until you are seeing the ball well. This will not only help your vision and or nerves, but will get the opponent pitcher to start pounding the zone.

Taking pitches is usually a good idea, but there is a huge difference between being passive and being patient. Being passive is where you take pitches just to take them. This can make sense if your pitcher is up or the other player really can't throw strikes, but generally I wouldn't suggest taking pitches just to take them. Being patient is more where you have something specific in mind and you'll take the pitch if you don't get it. If you can single out a pitch/location early in the count, letting anything else go that's a much better way to go.

To answer the original post, if you're a good pitcher and you have a good approach at tbe plate you can compete in WS. I really can't do much with fastballs up in the zone on HOF/Legend, but I pitch well and am able to draw walks and make solid contact by sitting high just often enough to keep my opponent honest while mainly hunting the low soft stuff.

No worries, at least if you can reach 40 wins within the season, you can at least still get the cards that World Series level players would get.

It was tongue in cheek, if you care to read further along. The good players hit, the rest of us tread water

Zone and strike zone view. Go to custom practice and practice whatever you are struggling with hitting wise and set the difficulty one level up from where you ate currently. High inside sinker is the most common struggle. One you get that down the set custom practice to combine low and away offspeed. If you get good at the higher difficulty, normal difficulty will be a breeze. And pick a pitcher you are struggling with in the meta.
