What is your team's OVR rating at?

I haven't touched ranked yet because:
- Server issues (duh)
- My team likely not being good enough to compete
Where is your overall rating at now? Trying to get a sense of where the average is before I consider diving in.

I wouldn't worry about what your overall is. Frankly i would focus on how well you use each player. And how well each players is defensively.

Yeah I get that OVR ratings can be a bit overrated. But if my team is a measly 83 and my opponent is full of 42 series cards and Chipper, I'm probably going to be at a bit of a disadvantage unless that player is terrible.

Well use your example for a reference then. If its possible you are gonna face a team of 42's and you know they are 88 overalls then prolly safe to say when you get to 88 overall try it? But with parallells now you can have an 84 gold and turn it into an 88 or 89, which is why i said focus on cards you are comfortable using. Don't get cards just b/c they are popular i might be worse with Chipper than you or vice versa?

I'm at an 89 but it's more like 90 because my 65 overall ballplayer 1st baseman kills my overall.

Indeed! And i also believe that is what makes the diversity of cards at every position more important this year. I have Joe Morgan gold @ 2nd not for his hitting but his fielding and speed are a combo i like @2nd, but some people put Seager at 2nd for his power.
So i do believe playing with who you are comfortable with can also boost your confidence in your approach.

- But I haven't really gone for Diamond SPs (only one I have in my rotation currently is TA Berrios) and only 3 diamonds in my pen. I have mainly stuck to conquest and CPU stuff so far to build up my squad before going into ranked. So there hasn't really been a need for many high rated pitchers yet for me. Sticking to building an amazing offense first.

Mine is an 89. I've only played one online game due to server fears, was up 4-0 in the 4th and my opponent quit. I too have been grinding conquest mostly for the parallels, now that most guys are leveled up and the servers have been pretty stable it is probably time for me to play some more RS games.
I'm 29k XP away from 350k, wonder if I make it before Friday.

I think mine is 88-89 but its all team affinty plus miggy and harper

- My team went from mostly gold to all 86 and above over the weekend. Loving the parallels this year, I'm on tier 3 for McMahon and i can't take him out of my lineup.
