I'm 1-1 in Divisional finals, but I'm 1-30 when facing the second miniboss. I want to parachute, but with one of those cartoon parachute packs that's filled with a toaster and a turkey dinner, so when I hit the ground there's a hole in the exact shape of me

Me too. I was excited for another mode to play offline but sadly for me it is an exercise in frustration. Another year of conquest I guess bit it is getting old already.

I'm sure for some that is true but I don't enjoy playing it because it is frustrating. If I felt like I had a chance I'd keep coming back but sadly I'm about done with it.

As all have said, patience is key. I figure the cpu throws approximately 45% strikes (compared to mlb average 62-65%).
The thing is, until you knock the pitcher confidence down below half, most of the strikes will be pitcher’s pitches. In the longer battles where you have more outs, this is less of a problem than when you have, say, seven outs to beat Scott Oberg, or whatever.

On showdowns I went 5-7 pre-patch. Since, 0-4 and they all go something like this..
I just played the 12 outs against Charlie Morton and had 3 perfect perfect outs, 3 good squared, some good/good and some good/okays that were better than my perfects. Had 2 bad swings the whole showdown and failed. That's not difficult, that's rigged. I could eventually work around this and be fine if I committed some patience and willingness to get [censored] on, but I feel bad for "casuals" or guys that don't play as much and want to try. They must feel like they're up against the world. -
This mode is pure [censored] [censored]. 15-15 with 12 outs and and the game royaly [censored] me. Pure trash. Thought i would have learned the first time playing this mode. Fix this garbage.

I did one just to pass some time. Does the music always reverb and play super loud while doing the missions? I mean, I can barely hear the crowd because the music is going bonkers. I saw no options in game to adjust it so guess I'll just turn off music for now but I had to just quit in middle of session as that was incredibly annoying.

I have not tried Showdown since they made the hitting more difficult but based on my experience before the patch and now having played some conquest after the patch I would say that hitting definitely got harder for me and I was already not very good. So Showdown just seems like it would be a waste of my time and stubs.

Showdown absolutely sucks. No idea how they thought anyone would enjoy it.
