Crazy Glitch at the Plate

I was playing a RS game tonight and my opponent hit a sac fly to put himself up 1-0 in the first...expect the run didn’t score and my catcher tagged out the runner to end the the inning.
Why?
Because Ichiro refused to touch the plate. He literally stood at the plate with his foot lifted, not making contact. Luckily this happened to my opponent and not me or I may have broke my monitor.

LMAO. Reminds me of when they slide into bases and do everything but touch the base. But this takes the cake. Amazing. Umps right on that stuff too.

The ump was perfect. His foot NEVER touched the plate.

Exactly what I was going go say. He definitely jumped the gun a little but it looked close enough on the video that we saw that it should have been fine. Maybe with lag he actually left a little sooner than what we saw. I had the same thing happen to me once before. I must have left a split second too early and my runner just stopped at home plate and eventually got tagged.

I think he did leave early now that I think if it. Oh well, I offered a friendly for it because it just felt like the right thing to do.

Upon rewatching there is a split second of movement at third before the ball is caught and there is no glitch. I would delete this thread but it won’t let me.

Speaking of “glitches” I had an RS game end last night on an apparent game tying 2 run HR that was “robbed” in CF by Damon but my runners continued around the bases as though it was a HR. My lead runner “scored” and his marker disappeared after touching home. Damon threw the ball in to 2B and the defender tagged Bellinger for the final out of the game (according to the announcer). The game screen went black for 5-10 minutes and finally the game end screen (rating points gain/loss) came up and I lost (I figured as much). Just seemed weird and I’ve never had that happen in 3 years of online play.
