CE-108255-1 ERROR
-
Only occurs in this game during RTTS. Tried reinstall, tried rebuilding database per playstation support instructions and still having the app crash error.

Here’s the issue, I’ve been through this with other games. Because it spits out a CE code, developers will automatically ignore it and blame the console. CE is short for console error, so they assume it can’t possibly be an issue with their game. Went through this with Ubisoft over Valhalla. It eventually got worked out in a patch, but support was no help. Best guess is there’s some mismanagement of resources that conflict with the underlying system software, so instead of trying to resolve itself, it just shuts down the game. It’s sort of a safety mechanism to ensure the system software doesn’t corrupt, which is good since that would require a hell of a lot more time to fix. Sorry I don’t have an answer on how to correct. Just one of those things right now.

So, what you're say is there is nothing I can do and I absolutely cannot play the game until they accidentally fix it without acknowledging it? I wonder though how many others are getting this issue if an at all.

Sorry, but based on my experience with that code, yes. If you google the code, you’ll see a ton of different complaints and it varies all over the place. Some people have been able to get their console replaced. Is this on a PS5 or PS4? If PS5, maybe try returning it. PS4, you’re out of luck and might try getting a used one pretty cheap. Again, sorry to be a Debbie downer.

Note that this is not just you having the issue, tons of people are having it, for RTTS only, as of the last patch. SDS definitely screwed something up, but given that they don't have half a [censored] about RTTS don't expect them to acknowledge it. Your best hope really is just to pray some other change they make in the future will inadvertently fix it as a side effect.

I'm having the CE 34224-5 error over and over and its freaking annoying. It only happens with MLB the show 21. I've done everything imaginable and nothing works. Even bought a new game, nothing. I've sent bug reports, emails, etc....no response to anything. It's like they don't care anymore.

Have you tried creating a new save file for RTTS since the update?

So I went back and found the emails I had from Ubisoft regarding this error (Please note, this is only for the error initially posted). Here are the instructions they provided to help try and resolve. Maybe give it a whirl and see if it helps for you:
Make sure your PS5 system software is up to date
Turn your console all the way off (not just Rest Mode)
Boot the console in Safe Mode. Press and hold the Power Button for seven seconds (release when you hear the second beep)
Connect a DualSense controller to the PS5 with a USB cable
Select the option to “Rebuild Database”If I remember correctly, it’ll take a while to rebuild the database. It didn’t work for me, but again, if you google, it has worked for others.

I have done that prior to posting and it didnt work unfortunately, thats the troubleshooting straight from playstations website as well. I just started a new RTTS game file and (fingers crossed, knock on wood, ect) havent had the app crash since. hopefully thats the fix. Maybe the "Major fix" to RTTS broke the old save files.

Sounds about right, everything I read about it suggested there was a corruption somewhere, just had to keep eliminating things. Hopefully you got it sorted.

I am having this issue with error code CE 108255 1. I can't start my game on the network, only offline and I lost my many hours of progress. I talked with Playstation and they said that since it is only effecting the show there is nothing they can do. SDS hasn't responded in weeks now. I am sick of playing offline they need to get this fixed.
