Maximum # of Pitchers on Activ Rster
-
Hi everyone,
I searched before posting and didn’t see this addressed. Per the new 2020 MLB rules, a team can carry an unlimited number of pitchers. For some (crazy) reason, the Cubs carry 15 pitchers. When I set my roster, it only lets me carry 14, and adds a position player from the minors and takes away a random pitcher. Anyone else have this problem—and is there a way around it besides a patch from SDS? Thanks! -
Those 2020 rules weren't new rules, they were temporary rules.
be glad it allows you 14 the rule is actually 13 -

• Rosters once again feature 26 players, after expanding in 2020. Roster size will increase to 28 players in September. There will not be a limit to how many pitchers can be on a team's roster.

Not sure why you quoted this line, but we're in May.

I quoted it because the response to my original post said there was a cap on number of pitchers. There is not a cap this season—all season. Not just September. The Cubs have 15 pitchers on their roster currently, which verifies this is the case.
