Also, can we get a private room for the personal posturing and threats? It would be great to keep to the topic of the thread. How else will SDS ever do anything about this if the thread is a complete joke of spam?

just being real with you dude. this has been in the game for years and i dont htink SDS is going to take it out anytime soon unfortunately

You’re probably right but I think that is the point of this forum, is it not?

When the entire thread turns into a dique measuring contest, it makes everything worse.

They put it in for a reason years ago, to stop quick pitching. It’s not going anywhere

As much as R2 holding is abused, truthfully the batter gets dictate when the next pitch is thrown. If a guy is on the mound pitching rapid fire, it's completely legit for the guy in the box to take his sweet time getting into the box between pitches.

It goes both ways. Batters shouldn't be spamming R2 and pitchers should be courteous enough to let the hitter settle in.

It's an video game... People take it too seriously.

I can't understand why you wouldn't want the pitcher quick pitching when you're batting. Let's get this 9 inning game done as fast as possible.

The only reason I can imagine why you would want the pitcher coming set before starting his windup is that you think his placement won't be as good. The only way you could think that, is if you struggle with placement and I'd bet money that you quick pitch more than you don't.

I dont remember what I said in this thread earlier, but R2 cheesing is completely gone now! I just played some BR tonight, and every time my opponent held R2 a symbol came up. And, at least with PP, it is easy to just do nothing until it goes away. Glad they finally got rid of the R2 cheese.

I don’t mind people that use it here and there. Not a fan of the kids that press it 3 times each pitch.

For years I have lobbied for removal of the R2 feature, or at the very least, allow us to step off the rubber every time R2 is pressed. But......to no avail. I hope all R2 users jock straps become infested with South American Fire Ants!!!!

You guys that are holding R2 the entire time your opponent is trying to pitch are really a special kind of bad person.

Maybe learn how to win a game without cheating? You might find it actually feels good.

I hold it every time and will continue to do so. I am not going to let you quick pitch me. If you want to get rid of holding R2, I would be perfectly fine with a 5 sec timer in between pitches. Until that happens, you should try and understand why people do it.

Why do you need 5 seconds between pitches?

5 second timer between pitches seems a bit excessive. Also not everyone wants to sit there and take over an hour for a game so try to understand why people try not to take long between pitches? You can't ask people to try and understand your side without extending the same courtesy

Exactly. It’s a video game. Do people want it to last 3 hours like in real life?

I don’t understand the quick pitching complaints. I don’t play online that much mostly because of the BS that goes on with the bunt dancing and constant pauses. But if the pitcher is able to throw the ball, I’m throwing it. What do I need to wait for? What exactly are the, “you’re pitching too fast”, people doing in between pitches?

I use stride analog input. I need him to come set in order to stride.

The problem is, if I am selecting my pitch when my opponent starts to hold R2, sometimes I cannot step off and wait until he lets go. I am locked into the pitch and all I can do is move the location and hope to not hang it. I am still using analog so maybe that it part of the problem...

    It still wreaks havoc.

The holding R2 players are toxic they also bunt cheese right after holding and look like they are having a seizure at the plate. Check swing everything whatever than can do to win because this game is so important to them 😂😂😂😆😆😆

I don’t want to play 90 minute games. If you hold r2 every at bat, you’re a douche. Idgaf try to argue it, if you can’t bat that’s not my fault.
I don’t quick pitch ever, [censored] messes your accuracy up. People aren’t able to adjust so they hold R2 and bunt dance like idiots

Why do u need 5 seconds in between pitches. Do u need to loosen your thumb or catch your breath. Its not like u are actually swinging. Quick pitching is no where near the problem that R2 holders are. And if they're doing it from the beginning it has nothing to do with your pitching.

If you try to play a game without quick pitching see if R2 is still a problem? But i agree if you quick pitch i'm holding R2 all day long. Then i'm going to take my sweet @ss time when i'm pitching.

Why does this not surprise me about you. What do you need to do, go through mental computations before the pitch?
