    As the title suggests, equipment is still intermittent after Update 3. In some cases, the bonuses are applied, in other cases not. No discernable rhyme or reason or work-around I have found.

    I played two different series this morning. The save in use is a Speedster CF. I have only one buildout established so it's not an issue of switching buildouts. During the entire first series my bonuses from equipment were not applied. So after that series, I created a new buildout identical to the first one in terms of archetype, perks, and equipment. I then deleted the first one and made the new one the "active" profile. I then played a second series. In the first game of the series, no equipment bonus. In the second game (where I was used as a pinch hitter) and subsequent games of the series, I did get my equipment bonus.

    How to know if you are getting your equipment bonus or not:

    • When batting, hit pause and then triangle and then R2 to view your player card. Note your CON versus the handed pitcher your are playing. Also note your speed and stealing (for later reference). Note the + numbers above CON, Speed, and Stealing.
    • Go back to game, when you swing the bat (no matter outcome) a small pop-up window appears which shows your swing timing and there is a bar at the top of that which shows your CON, PWR and VIS. If your CON is what your player card shows without the + number, then you are not getting your equipment. If it shows as the sum of your player card and the + number, then you are getting the bonus of your equipment;
    • When on base, pause the game. Note it shows your speed and stealing. Compare, as above. If the numbers are exactly what is on your player card, you are not receiving equipment bonus. If your numbers are the sum of the player card and the + numbers you are.

    I do note that in all games played my archetype progression appeared to work just fine. Without having to mess around with DD mode. Which is a pleasant change.

    I never see the bonuses applied to actual attributes. Like contact and speed won’t show my total with gear when batting or on base. So gear seems to never be working. I was hoping the first patch after official release would fix it but no dice.

    I have seen the equipment bonus. I saw it intermittently before the patch (posted on this yesterday actually). And continuing to see it intermittently today with the patched version.

    I totally agree with you - it would have been great to have gotten this fixed in the patch. But I can understand how fixing the progression issues would be a higher priority.

    That said it sucks because without my equipment my character is a decent base stealing threat (81 steal/90 speed) but with equipment he's a beast (99/99). Without the gear I get thrown out quite a bit by major league arms. So it's painful not to have the gear because it's definitely impacted my archetype progression which is largely based on stealing bases.

    To me gear is a part of progression as you get higher and higher level gear as you level the archetypes. I also spent a little cash to fill out gear spots from market place that I didn’t get from packs as I leveled. So it’s a slap in the face for it not to work as I spent $$ on the game and on stubs.

    I fully agree with this. The bottom line is that the gear should always work. What I'm seeing so far this morning - hit and miss. Sometimes works, most the time does not. And that's not how it should be.
