Literally no one. DD players don't want to be forced to play RTTS for their CAP and RTTS players absolutely don't want to be forced to play DD. I believe the servers may have been able to handle the Gamepass crowd if it was DD only. With the forced RTTS-DD connection literally all but regular franchise players are logged on to the servers at once

Personally I always thought it would be cool to take your RTTS player to DD instead of making a new player but they definitely botched the execution. They should've kept some sort of program like last years CAP and just added am option to somehow import your player from RTTS. The way they did it just messed so much up in the game. -

Their response to the offline players pleas for more attention to their modes was to link them to Online play. SMDH

The way they did it just messed so much up in the game.The problem’s come from it having to track progression from mode to mode, 2k allows you to link your player to your my team but its capped at 85, there is no further progression etc. At least as far as I know.

If this is true, it probably has more to do with the XP/stub glitch than servers. Either way, I hope it's true.

I hope they just fix the problems. Since I've been hearing about all the server issues, I put a bunch of time into RTTS for the first time ever. The concept is a great idea, even though I agree no one asked for it. I've been patient for 9 days about not playing online and have been trying to find other ways to play. People losing cards makes me not want to do missions or collections, rtts glitches and now the possibility that I won't be able to use him in DD makes me not want to play it. I'm ready to just set this game down until memorial day

You would be surprised. They claimed online franchise was the reason for bad servers in 17. I imagine RTTS being linked with DD might have a similar effect

I like that I can use my RTTS player in DD, I don't like the load-outs, or the fact that you can only create 1 player. Let us create as many RTTS players as we want but only allow us to use 1 of them at a time in DD. Instead of asking us to pick a loadout for DD, ask us to pick a player for DD. Let us level up our players anywhere, including RTTS, DD, or Franchise mode.

The concept is a great idea, the execution was just poor. I don’t think they have the server capacity atm to handle it.

anything that requires data to be sent to servers will put strain on them, so I completely agree that this is a big part of the problem. I've had the opinion that connecting everything but franchise to DD is the root of the problem.
However, I'm not so confident that they will make this change do to servers. They are most likely more motivated by the loss of stub sales.

And another fun fact of that weekend: while shagging fly balls in BP I tripped on the turf and the fly ball hit me as I fell.
