April POTM Predictions

People forget that MLB decides who wins this, not the Show. It's gonna be Trout and Acuna or Winker. Possibly even Degrom or Burnes. We are almost guaranteed to get the NL winner as the lightning card.
POTM in the show is selected by the dev team. They base it off of how a players live series card is rated and should preform vs how the real player preformed in a given month.
So guys like Vlad Jr, Burns, JD, Olsen are playing at a diamond level in real life but only have silver or golds.
Trout and Acuna based on their performance so far are pretty much living up to expectations card vs real life.

Those theme collections where the worst. Those were way more of money grab then anything SDS does now and people get upset about

If they drop a Jazz Chisholm as one of the cards it could be really sick.
They never let Trout be POTM but he does have an unreal 538 OBP and 815 SLG... No one else can touch those numbers.

Those theme collections where the worst. Those were way more of money grab then anything SDS does now and people get upset about
I’m still under the impression it was more R&D/testing than actual money grabs. There were quite a few in previous years but from what I remember (and from playing most UT modes) they were ALL slightly different. Collect players, exchange players, collect equipment (Yogi Epic failure) extremely rare and expensive packs....the vouchers for hats and jerseys. They’ve tried everything and I think they determined what makes them the most and has a high% of completion to keep people interested and playing.
The giant collection mid way is probably something they’ve researched for a while over the years and came to a decision it’s the best for them and the community.

Buxton would get the most players to do the collection though regardless of how much time he missed. He would have diamond fielding and Max speed. Vladdy would have great hitting attributes but a slow 1st baseman with bad defense is easy to come by
Its only April tho so idk how they would keep Buxton under 99 ovr with that fielding, speed, pwr combo. Hed be filthy, i wouldnt be mad, id sell my team for him lol
Vladdy would be like miggys triple crown card which is a 92-93 overall and have 3rd base eligible, just seems to fit the bill to me for april anyways.

Danny Duffy or Corbin Burnes for SP - Duffy has only given up 1 run in 23 innings but Burnes has a stupid 49:0 K:BB ratio.
Melancon might get it for RP (0.083 BAA, 11:1 K:BBs, 8 saves)Deep cut: Richard Rodriguez - 10.1 innings, 10:1 K:BB ratio. 0.034 BAA (only 1 hit) 0.19 WHIP, No runs allowed 4/4 on saves on the Pirates.

I would say use the guy that has the highest OPS in baseball by far, but we all know that they cannot do that. It would be unfair tom he rest of the league. Guy already has a 95 card.

This is false. The card that they make in the game is one of the two players that win the MLB player of the month award for their respective league. It is not an SDS decision of who wins the award. It is an SDS decision of which one of the two they pick to make the card for. Trust me dude I have played this game since before player of the month cards were even a thing in this game. Go look back at some of the past ones from previous years. They all won the MLB player of the month award.
