You had 8 AB's to get him home, and you didn't. When it was his turn to hit again, he came up to bat. There aren't ghost runners in MLB the show....

So I no longer get to have the credit for having him on base? Whether or not I should’ve got him home doesn’t matter logically. The game shouldn’t be able to remove a player on base for no reason.

Who's going to hit for him? Bunt, steal, hit balls to the OF, hit a single. You have a minimum of 24 pitches to move him. It's on Rookie and Veteran. Like...what do you want, SDS to just give everything out for free? It doesn't get easier than this.....

IDK why SDS changed it. I do know showdown is infinitely easier than last year.

Any easier and they would just have to sim it.

Maybe? I never had that happen last year. Showdown is on ROOKIE and VETERAN. If people can't get their PCI squared up to hit a sac fly, maybe they don't deserve the 42 cards? There are 50 posts here of people crying about this. If you can't hit the ball, you honestly don't deserve free diamond cards. Practice and get better at the game. Like, ya'll 15 or something? You have to earn stuff in life my friends. Reminds me of the college student emails I get.

"Dear Professor, I know I haven't been in class for the past 15 1/2 weeks, what extra credit can I do to pass the class".

Nada dudes, try again next year.

my only point is that if he didnt know they were removed this year I can see why he may not send a person on a risky fly ball assuming you have the 15 tries or whatever pretending its the 8th out. otherwise why hes at the point is beyond me.

I have not lost a showdown this year but doesn’t mean I havent struggled to get hits at times. I had this happen to me one time. I could have scored my runner but strategically left my runner on third because I had the lifeline perk that is dependent on having a runner on base.

And even if that wasn’t the case, not everyone has played the game for years, not everyone is good at video games. Guy is just asking why his runner disappeared which is a fair question since last year in the same situation, the runner would be replaced by the last out. If you’re gonna give someone a hard time on these forums, I can think of a lot more comments that are reasonable to criticize than this one.

1:41AM Eastern Time, I am in the Final 1st Inning Showdown vs Fernando down 15-13 with 19 Outs remaining, runners on 2nd and 3rd and I am DISCONNECTED! I figured, it's okay I'll just have to start the final showdown again. NOPE! Previous game counted as a loss. ARE YOU KIDDING ME SDS? Every time I get some spare time to play (at 1AM) the servers are down or I get kicked out! Something must be done about these servers. Has SDS even addressed this issue?

I would have no problem with disappearing runners if it would be official baseball rule.
Like if you are at third base and it's your turn to hit, you have to get off from scoring position, but I don't think there is any rule like that. It's just a glitch, so please stop defending that bs

I believe I'm 11-3 or 11-4. Not sure what my BA is. Stats and records are a joke this year, nothing has been recorded correctly. I've spent most of my time grinding TA and offline stuff until servers are somewhat stable.

However, I am not good at this game, and that's kind of the point. While showdown was difficult last year, and I expect them to get more difficult as the year goes on, these two are on veteran and rookie difficulties. If I can advance a runner in 8 outs or less, everyone can 🙂

I'm pretty terrible at the game and I have never lost a runner in showdown because I couldn't do anything with him over 8 outs. There's a lot of stuff SDS needs to iron out for this game to hit its stride, but I think it's perfectly reasonable to get punished for not being able to to bring a runner in with 8+ swings of the bat on a low difficulty. IMO the worst offender in showdowns is the lights out CPU defense and absolutely mashing balls that end up caught. And that isn't even that bad it just seems like it's either really hard to get a hit no matter what I do with timing and PCI or I cruise right through.

Yep, Lucas8181 really is 19-23 with a .253 BA which is lower than mine, yet he is telling me to get good. Not only is he condescending, he is lying about how good he is at the game.
