Does ANYONE have an actual and real explanation as to why SOTS isnt available on next gen? Like something verified and maybe a prognostication as to where and when we cane expect to have a basic feature of this game? WHy should somebody pay for a PS5 when the PS4 version is actually better?

No, and my guess is that we never will know the actual reason. If they took it out because they don't want to support it then they will never admit it. If they took it out because of restrictions Sony puts on them with the new console then they probably are not allowed to talk about it.

I'd bet it's tied to streaming and DRM (Digital Rights Management) on twitch.

Doubtful because their own in game music would run into those same issues. My only theory is that Sony does not allow, as far as I know, the user to copy media files onto the internal drive and either Sony or SDS does not want a feature that requires you to occupy one of the USB ports for an in game feature.

I’ve been playing the PS4 version on my PS5 and I’m able to upload my music files from USB successfully. The system is totally capable of doing it, so I really don’t know why the feature was removed from the next gen version. It’s really unfortunate.
