I had my box of tissues around here somewhere, hold on
-
I hate using pci, meter etc etc. I'm a directional hitter and a pulse pitcher.
-
this is the problem with gaming right here that frustrates an old schooler like me...gaming used to be for fun and enjoyment...now it has been turned into angry, raging competitiveness...i just dont understand...let people play the way it makes them happy
-
When the game company is encouraging competition. It's kind of hard not to become competitive. If you have a potato sack relay for nothing. It will be fun. If money is on the line the game changes. You cant place a shiny object at the end and expect people not to compete. Get rid of rewards..rankings and division and people will become less competitve.
-
The whole point of this game is to win. To win by bettering your team. If you dont spend money on the game the only way to acquire is from grinding aka winning or succeeding. The whole point of the game is chasing the carrot. Whether it be wins...stats or pulling diamonds in packs

For those that don't get it, there is a reason that most if not all the best players it high skilled players use zone. Directional will do fine in all star level games but you get to hall of fame and legend vs a guy who has a clue how to pitch, you're done.

This is exactly why there needs to be directional in the game. Why would we want to alienate players? If @JoeSelser_PSN wants to use directional and pulse he should be able to. I choose not to use pinpoint because I think it’s way too difficult. Should they make us use pinpoint pitching in ranked because it’s harder? I’m fully aware when executed properly pinpoint is more accurate than analog but I choose to use analog. I’m sure @JoeSelser_PSN is aware directional is more RNG based than pci but he likes directional. Different strikes for different folks...

Who dont see the big deal of directional not taking much skill.
What is more difficult to drive. Stick shift or automatic? Why? One takes more coordination the other doesn't. What would be easier for a beginner driver?
Now look at hitting. If someone challenged your friend who never played baseball and never plays video games to getting a hit in ranked seasons for 10 g's and you had to select his hitting mode. Which would you choose? Why?

Exactly
F1 racers dont drive automatics for a reason.
Ok, a few things there.
- just cause you play one way doesn't mean others have to or want to. The point is to have fun.
- Directional is no different. Your RNG suffers the higher the teir of difficulty.
- You guess pitches don't you? If you do then you know EXACTLY where the pitch is.
- your anology for F1 is off, they use magnesium peddle shifters. It is push button shifting for speed and precision. You cant outshift peddle shifts, I'd like to see anyone try .
Basically, no... just all of that is a no.

Just out of curiosity how do you tell that they are using directional or not?

Some people insist you can tell based on the feedback. If you notice that every “hit” has the pci lined up perfectly, it’s most likely someone using directional. Or, you’re playing someone who’s really good at lining up the pitch. Either way, just an excuse to make the Loser feel better about themselves. This is an argument going back to the dawn of DD.
