The one thing in Diamond dynasty this year that I wish would change and for next year is alternatives to online play for program stars in the Inning programs.

Example: if there's up to 300 possible program stars you can earn through online playing, have an alternative for non online users. Make like extra missions like stat accumulating like in the 11th inning.

I dont feel it's fair to force people to play online to enjoy all possible rewards.

Anyone else agree and feel this is a reasonable change for 2020?

It wasn't hard to get to 600 stars in most innings without a minute of online play

I definitely think they should incorporate more cumulative stat missions, like the ones in the 11th inning program, into next years program structure.

We had that in 18 and OH DID THE MASSES COMPLAIN. I rather enjoyed it and think it led to using more cards than you normally would, but I was clearly in the minority.

PS: There is a way for offliners to earn those stars: it's called collecting.

    Doesn't bother me.
I'm mostly offline, tried online for a while (just don't have the time for RS games or run) and found ways to get program stars offline (play CPU games, redo the large conquest map)
Stat missions sound good, but I agree that rewards should be better/different for RS,BR and offline.
Just work the market, and you can eventually get the player you want 😉

Each inning should have 6 statistical missions. These missions would be completed via any means online or off.

    300 Innings pitched
    400 Strikeouts
40 Saves with (insert conference/division here)

    300 base hits
    Steal 50 bases
Hit 100 HRs with (insert conference/division here)

Could even throw in an off the wall one like
Throw a No Hitter (min 8 Innings)
    Hit for the Cycle
    Throw an immaculate inning
    Ect...

Each one would offer a different amount of stars and stubs.

I agree with you, however, the majority of players who play The Show are online players, so that do need to cater to them a bit more. That said, as a completely offline player too, it seems reasonable to incorporate more optional stat missions into the programs next year. Agree with Ferris that is makes you use more cards you may not use otherwise. I actually did the 75 HR with AS cards last week, and had so much fun using AS A-Gone, Chris Davis, Jose Bautista and AS Joey Gallo again! Need more of these like with Rookies, Impact Vets, and Breakout cards!

Maybe replaying Conquest maps associated with certain programs should always produce stars for that program.

it's going to be really interesting to see what the "Infinity" Conquest Map is. Will it be a Map that you an continue to play over and over, generating 30 Program stars each time it's completed? I hope so.

That would be great. Then you could get 600 stars for any inning at any time.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but do you have any evidence to back that up? At least based on this forum, hardly anyone ever talks about RTTS compared to Diamond Dynasty. That used to be my favorite mode too until I played 17 and got hooked on DD.

I like this. 30 stars the first time, 15 every time since or something

Any time SDS talks about the modes in streams they say that.

Don't go by what you see on the forum. Based on the forums, you would think most people make WS and want pitch speeds increased.

I specifically remember them bringing it up in a stream (2018 Little Things?!?) Don't have time to look it up right now but maybe next week.

At least based on this forum, hardly anyone ever talks about RTTS compared to Diamond Dynasty.

RTTS is more or less as is out of the box. It isn't continually updated throughout the year as is DD. Hence, less to discuss.

That used to be my favorite mode too until I played 17 and got hooked on DD.

16 for me. Didn't even touch DD before that. But the introduction of missions (especially those Rookie to Prime and Conquest Conquer/Command) was what prompted me to turn to the dark side.

I think adding some stat grinds to conquest like they did for the 11th Inning program is perfect. Completely optional, but gives people who like stat grinds something to do.

I do not know this answer either, but I do know that the forums are not representative of the average player.

The easiest solution is bringing back the stat accumulation or could do something like the missions where you have to beat all the MLB teams similar to the mission from 18 to get Free Finest player... I want to say there were some other missions like Team Epics that would have been amazing to have in 19.

What I want is interesting things to do offline. 17 and 18 at least had interesting objectives (from missions) to do, but those got turfed this year and the only meaningful things you can do in Play vs. CPU (stars, XP, TA innings) are uninteresting background tasks.

Add all the maps you want to Conquest, it's still nothing but three-inning road games.

I replied to a similar post sometime ago I do agree that there should be an option for offline players to accumulate stars without having to participate in events, ranked seasons, and battle royale nonsense. A few years ago you had to play online games to be able to get the 99 overall Ken Griffey jr which seemed like an impossible feat.
