It’s unavoidable. Every year, couple posts about when they win, it’s all them. If they lose, it’s scripted. It’s quite hilarious

Not scripted. Just AI controlled outcomes. Typically your controller input is utilized somewhat but, depending on whatever algorithm the developers coded, the software then produces animation that generally appears realistic.
Often, though, it does not. Especially in the Boss Showdowns. That is nothing more than a slot machine outcome.
It can still be fun. Just have to suspend your disbelief sometimes.

Its not necessarily about a script but the game does throw logic away at times and tried overly much to even the game out. I played the moment just now where you have to beat the Dodgers with the Padres in a 3 inning game. I took an early 4-0 lead into the bottom of the 3rd and all of a sudden the game fell apart. Fielders missed the ball, pitcher wouldnt locate (brand new out of the pen) and they came back to tie the game 4-4 with 2 outs. I ended up winning in the 4th 6-4. But the game does this alot.

Although I agree OP, MLB the RNG is sooooo 2020, network errors and unhandled server exceptions are the flavah this year

I don't know if there scripted so much as a randomization. See this a lot with MTO.

This idea has been around for years now and while script probably isn’t the right word it sure seems that the game will do things sometimes to try to push outcomes a certain way. For example in moments and offline play suddenly your great pitcher won’t be able to throw strikes unless it’s right down the middle of the plate which the computer will then promptly mash 500 feet with a 30 power hitter. Or suddenly all of your hits are directly at the defense no matter what you do. They are subtle but if you play enough you will definitely notice patterns.
Like how everytime I have a runner on first base, the CPU forces me into a double play?

That happened to me, but a bit differently. I couldn't get a hitnfor 3 innings. I sat them down as well and I got a run in the top of the 4th. Then, down to the final out, Belli hits a grounder to RF and Myers just boots it and Belii gets an rbi triple. Beat them in the 6th and this is on Veteran!!! I play a conquest game later and beat them 18-0 on AS for a stronghold win. This game is so flawed right now. Something is waaaaaay off with hitting versus last year. I've had like 30 games where I can only score one run on Rookie or Veteran difficulty and I'm an 800 RS player!!!!

I mean that flavour isn’t new, its always been available, it just seems to be at its worse this year. Who would have thought asking two rival companies to work together would go poorly.

LoL Belli hit an inside the park home run because Will Myers couldnt field a line out and he fell on the floor lol. Tied the game at 4-4

Alot of peoples records are deceiving right now to many folks losses have doubled or tripled randomly.. howwver I do agree there's.always those games that absolutely nothing goes your way
