Tried to play around 9:00 am my time and got a network error exiting a Conquest Game. Bounced me back to the main menu. I went back into DD and Conquest and tried to play a Stronghold game and got an error that would not even let me start.
I closed the game and walked away. I don't see much point in even trying the rest of today as I assume the server load will continue to get higher and higher as the day progresses.
Going through with a double XP weekend when the servers can't be trusted was just a bad idea. The servers will eventually get better and the bugs will be fixed but I still can't pretend that this is not disappointing.

I am really having a hard time wrapping my head around this double XP weekend. I mean maybe get your servers fixed first and do that next weekend. This has been disappointing to say the least.

I tried earlier this morning, got a challenge failed message, and couldn't get into DD. Maybe I'll try again late tonight. I bought a Switch Lite a couple of weeks back and am glad I did. Breath of the Wild is amazing. But I'd love to be playing The Show...

Double XP has definitely not worked all weekend. Normal XP is being awarded towards 1st Inning Program, that is when even given credit for a game. Of course they still refuse to acknowledge problems with anything and keep the Double XP Banner up on the game.

Beyond frustrating. I'm sure they are frustrated to and doing whatever they can to fix it at this point, but I feel like they have to do something once this is fixed. Either extend the 1st inning program, just give everyone the boss pack, something...
Some of us can only really play on weekends. This sucks.

The game doesn't even work in the mornings ahead of peak time. This is [expletive].
For a game that is strongly built upon having an online connection, its unbelievably shameful that we can't even connect IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Real cheeky for them to give us double XP this weekend. Real cute.

I've been averaging a 50% chance at 200% XP this weekend. The other 50% of the time I get 0 XP and an unhandled server exception.
I... guess that at least averages out to the normal 100% XP?

Wouldn’t matter, were not earning double XP
They can say whatever they want, it’s obvious double coverage isn’t applying to the first inning program. Never has, and never will until they come out and address this

Yeah the double xp is borked anyway. After a game it lists double xp but what actually gets credited is normal.
I wonder if the double xp was planned all along or this was their attempt at compensation for a disastrous first week for the servers. Either way it wasn't a good move to go through with it. Even if it was crediting 2x, the load on the already overstressed servers was only going to end one way.
