How do players freeze the game?

I just hit a grand slam to take the lead in the 7th inning and the game froze. How is it possible to even do something like this? How is this allowed idfgi?!

You new here? people don't and cant freeze the game on purpose. It has been happening for 4 years. Either wait it out or take a loss

It just happened to me again this morning. I was up 8-0 with 2 outs in the 9th and as I throw a pitch it freezes and about a minute later disconnects and I get the loss and lose 51 points in ranked seasons. It's such a waste of [censored] time every year with this [censored]. I can go through an entire year of Madden or 2K and maybe have this happen 1 or 2 times, but with MLB it is a constant issue every single year.

What’s more important your time or waiting out one ranked season game to get 30-50 pts that you can make back in an hour instead of waiting 8 hours lol

Whatever makes you happy I guess. I’d rather just get games in but that’s just me I suppose.

There was an exploit last year where your opponent could disconnect you and take the win in the main screen. Happened to me multiple times and was confirmed by sds when i reported it as a problem

I spoke to the guy, he said he didn’t do anything but the timing was just a little too weird. Now we’re in a stalemate since noon. Is there someone I can report this too?

it has to be the servers. I was losing in a laggy event game yesterday then it said connection to opponent lost but I still got the loss. Usually I would have been credited with the win but since it might be a server issue they just gave it to the leader at the time.

Hahahaha since noon! Dude the hilarious part is I guarantee you that he had already quit and moved on. If it froze like that it means at least one of your connections was lost and it just comes down to who’s it was...you could have quit immediately and it would have made absolutely no difference. You sat there and waited for no reason hahahahahahahahaha

I was talking to the guy lol, neither of us quit. Eventually the game ended itself and I got the win.

Not sure sds hasnt responded to my crash report from day one of early access. RN there's no transparency and feels like they could care less. Especially ruining hitting yet again
