Im on my first RTTS on MLB 21, played every game up until the first all star break and then al of a sudden the CPU stopped throwing balls. Every single pitch since the break has been a strike. I sat the controller down for two full games, 8 at-bats, all were three pitch strikeouts. I had 7 walks through close to 40 games and then something change. It even seems harder to foul pitches off. I tried messing with the sliders but they didn’t seem to make a difference. I played a ton of MLB 17 and never had a problem. Played MLB 19 and this was the case from the start. Now 21 seems to have the same bug.

    Anyone else seeing this?

Nope, never had this issue. I play on All Star and get a ton of pitches outside. Is your batting on Dynamic? Its possible you are down to rookie or beginner im not sure.

What difficulty are you playing at? Might have to up it to get realistic pitches

You must raise the batting difficulty, I found this out myself. On beginner difficulty, every pitch is a strike.

If the difficulty thing doesn’t explain it (was also my first guess), can you remember which day IRL you noticed it? Wondering if it could be tied into the game update 1.002 or 1.02.

I don't think the computer throws balls in rookie difficulty.

I honestly find for RTTS veteran is the most realistic. Allstar and up you get nothing to hit ever, with zero challenge pitches. Veteran is a good mix of balls and strikes, yeah a few more taters than I’d like to hit(from a realism standpoint), but mostly it’s better play
