I’ve beat 2 showdowns tonight with 8+ outs left each time. I feel like the pitching and hitting are on veteran, the fielders are all legend parallel 5 tho

I beat it 10 times and 5 of those times the server screwed me over saying it’s counting it as a loss. So stupid

Showdowns frustrate the heck out of me. I'm really streaky; sometimes I can breeze through them and others, I can't get on base to save my life. There's something screwy with them, IMO. Always has.

Yeah, this showdown is easier and shorter as opposed to last year.

Folks the times when you breeze thru, you got on top of the pitcher. With his confidence way down your pci is bigger and more of your contact is hard. Make sure you’re patient at the start of the final boss run. Make him throw lots of pitches the first few hitters.
The games when you can’t on base, his confidence sky rockets and if you’re swinging at the first strike on a pitcher who’s confidence is high, your chances of hitting safely are massively reduced.
Train yourself to see lots of pitches. Especially on the lower difficulties where everything looks like a meatball -
I've had no problem with the showdowns until yesterday, when I was 0:4. I lost just one before that. I don't know if I was so bad or they tweaked it a little, but yesterday was rough

I will not sit here and say that from time to time Showdown cannot be annoying but just wait til they release the xtreme version of showdown in a few months and then you will be begging for the original cause THAT is HARD this like i said just a slight pain from time to time.

This thing called grinding is an actual thing. It's not going to be easy by any means. Although it does feel like you're getting screwed out of perfect/prefect hits at most points, eventually you do beat it, just keep trying. If you think these are hard, wait for the Extreme Program (if they even have one this year). The better you get, the better results. Just hang in there.

I remember a time when veteran difficulty meant a decent amount of pitches were in the strike zone.

The sliders are definitely adjusted differently...personally it’s the swinging at something low in the zone that is a 50/50 shot at being a double play...once ya get it though, it’s fun...did all my affinities mostly thru that

Funny thing is, it's easier on higher difficulties if you can believe that. Rookie and Veteran are harder than you think because your PCI is so [censored] big, it just results in pop ups over and over. For me at least.

It absolutely feels like they adjusted something. I hated them last year but beat them 3 of the first 5 times I tried. Since yesterday I’ve lost like 4 in a row and am struggling with the missions and mini bosses.

It absolutely feels like they adjusted something. I hated them last year but beat them 3 of the first 5 times I tried. Since yesterday I’ve lost like 4 in a row and am struggling with the missions and mini bosses.
You may need to slow down your approach. I haven't lost one yet and I have played 25+ times. Try switching up your camera or aiming your PCI inside/outside the ball to push or pull it instead of putting it directly on the ball. Obviously I haven't seen you play so maybe you are doing these things but maybe not. Also, try taking the first 2 pitches (unless you have perks that activate in the first two). Focus on "Exit Velo" perks.

Oh I suck, I fully admit that...but when German Marquez is dotting everything (I’ve tried the take pitches thing with little success) there is a problem.
I also just lost a mission where the CPU made three diving plays.
