Do you need PS Plus to upload MLB 20 data for Xbox?

I'm getting an 'error" message in trying to link the data in my account from PS4 to Xbox. But i don't have PS Plus for my PS4, and so maybe it's possible i can't get the data?
I remember on 19 there was a prompt, in so on 20 i can continue my career. But there doesn't seem to be a prompt on MLB The Show 20 for 21. Any answers appreciated.

When you say continuing career, do you mean RTTS? Because they overhauled it this year and had to not carry over RTTS or Franchise saves

No, they were pretty clear early on that it would not carry over. The rationale for connected accounts is more for Dd, so you can use your same team on each console.

What about like saved rosters ? Does that carry over?
