how many people can play online at once & How can I see my friends online records?

In a regular game online how many people can play? Is it just 1v1 or can you have multiple players like in Fifa online?
Also, where can I see my friends online records? I go to leaderboard and toggle over to "friend leaderboard" but it only shows me....
