Every year I always create a CAP to play catcher. I fully load him up with the best equipment, Give him Jimmy Foxx’s swing & he’s my end game catcher from day one. Sadly, I am throwing in the towel. I figured out how to change the archetype to catcher & made it to the silver level where it then changed it automatically to 3rd base & this time there was no changing it back. I don’t need this frustration in my life. I’m not looking for anybody to explain a different path to take, ect...It shouldn’t be this hard or complicated. I sold all the equipment & used the stubs to complete the Yankees collection instead. I’m fine with Posada. Will try again next year.

It does seem frustratingly bugged for sure, but I did see a post on Reddit this morning of someone with a 99 OVR rated catcher on their Ballplayer screen. Whether they got there in DD or RTTS I am not sure.

Of course, per the weirdness one screen showed him as a catcher and another as a 3B.

well the good thing is, even if your players like a SS if you place him anywhere he gets secondary, So you can level one guy and use him anywhere all year. it takes bit getting used to but i feel comfortable with it now , As soon as they fix the stats showing as SP glitch itll be fine.

Secondary is bugged, as far as I am concerned. I too wanted a cap catcher, but you literally can't play him at a secondary position, they play like they are out of position. I have a silver level catcher (that is apparently now a 3b primary), his secondary stats for playing at catcher are higher then the defensive stats for the bronze primary catcher, yet he plays like he's out of position. Also, I have come to realize that, unless you are playing the primary position of the load out in rtts, you won't get progress that way either...this is a complete joke. They have not only made this a convoluted mess to figure out, bht by trying rtts directly to dd they have also destroyed the mode as well.
