You know you’re right, I did forget it was early access. It is still dumb that you can purchase every card to fulfill collections from day 1, I mean I get it it’s an extra $500 or more for SDS per person lol. Just unfortunate for those who don’t want to spend extra money but still be competitive. Again I’m like 11-5, after going 8-0, every game I play is against the entire library of cards. Even if I grind the free stuff which is a dull [censored] experience on its own, the cards don’t compete against Soriano and mike trout batting 4 times a game lol. @foresticek_psn said in RANKED SEASONS is horrid to play right now:

I’d say if they didn’t get lucky with packs, it would be over $1000 in stubs to buy the LS collection right now. A few of the YT/streamer guys had videos up where they had 1.5 million stubs in their bank...AKA they spent $1000 on stubs. Buying the 7 90+ diamonds right now alone would be a little over a Million stubs. Then all the other diamonds, etc. would add up to a lot.
Not saying this about you, but others I’ve seen on here. I feel like a lot of people on the forums get what seems like angry about it. Maybe it’s because I’m a bit older than the average player, but people should not be concerned with how people spend THEIR money. Not everyone’s financial situation is the same. Some people may be just scraping by and others might have plenty of disposable income. You do you and let them do what makes them happy. If a guy has a God squad Day 1 and chose to buy it, good for him. If you choose to be NMS and grind and earn every piece of your team, good for you. Neither person is right or wrong.

Wasn't implying you were my friend. But to answer your question, if you have it and can afford it, why not?
Some people spend their money on going out, vacations, things they need and maybe really don't need. Some people spend their money on drugs or other bad habits.
Some people really like this game AND have the financial flexibility...
I'll put it simply and then walk away from this post as every year there is always someone that raises what I consider to be a very unnecessary and really stupid topic.
$1,000 ÷ 365 = $2.74 per day.
If you are a year round player and have the flexibility to drop a stack, this is peanuts to spend on something you enjoy. Simple... -
I’ve been in the event and dropped two games and all but one were unplayable due to the servers. I’d pitch and it would take 3 seconds to hit the catcher. I’ve tested other games and my internet connection is strong.
Is anyone else having problems with the servers? Feels like it’s not even worth playing at this point.

SDS made a mistake releasing so many Diamonds and cheesy players it should really only be live series players for the first month at least. Being 11-4 every [censored] team I play now has a purchased team of all diamond. But of course all they care about is making money if they were smart they would’ve gone the madden route added a salary cap to rank seasons or added some restrictions per division rating but no SDS is full of lazybones non-innovative thinking money grabbers. The game is in a pathetic state where is pay to win is in full force. On top of that the input is as worse as ever as I’m seeing so many homeruns where the PCI is not even on the ball going out specifically on the inside pitch.
How can you have a whole year and you’re number one mode the only innovative action you take is to make it easier for everybody and add parallels? really no team chemistry? no salary cap? no nothing! just the same game and us waiting for a new content to spend our money on thinking new players will make us better at the game or give us a better chance of winning it’s all a lie.
It is literally the same game and we are just waiting for content now somehow you even made the perfect perfect sound worse than before and don’t even get me started on the menus.

You realize The Show has too limited use play modes for those that don’t want to play against better teams... Battle Royal and Events... I’d recommend you try those

I've played 2 RS games... They are only veteran to start so expect tons of hitting... I've spanked two god squad diamond teams with my preorder bonus team that has silvers and bronzes in the lineup. One guy rage quit in the 1st inning after jacking my 3rd HR to go up 5-0 with only 1 out.
Don't fear those diamond squad many are not good players, just guys that love to splurge on the game and need a leg up. If they got the disposable income then good for them. I don't blame them.

It's like this every year. Last year I ran into 2 99 mantles the 2nd day of release. Also it takes more than a stacked squad to be good.
