PS5 upgrade help

Ok - purchased the $100 Jackie Robinson edition from Best Buy with disk and supposed PS5 upgrade. ps4 version is installed on extended storage and game disk is in the PS5. Code was entered on PS store and I got all the stubs & packs etc.that I should have gotten but absolutely cannot figure out how to get the PS5 upgrade. Can somebody please explain like I’m in kindergarten - I just got the PS5 to play with my teenager and am not up to speed on all it’s quirks

The PS5 upgrade code is not working for a lot of people... It sounds like it won’t be active until the 20th.... Only the PS4 version is. If you downloaded the game vis digital you get the PS5 version. Makes my future decisions about Best Buy and GameStop easier.... SanDiego Studios should be ashamed of themselves for not letting people know

Same here I deleted and re-download same thing I spent about an hour trying to figure out and nothing worked.

Redeem the upgrade code
Put the PS4 disc in and install the PS4 version
When you have the game selected in the top menu, there will be a Play Game link with three dots next to it
Click on the three dots
A menu will pop up and the third item down says PS5 / Full / and then one for the test tech if you did that.
Select that option and install the full version.My first time I accidentally installed the test tech version and had to go back and install the full version. I deleted the test tech and PS4 versions after everything installed.

We're having the same issue. We have a PS5 and bought the physical Jackie Robinson Edition. We redeemed the code that was enclosed, but we're not given an option to play/download PS5 version. We're only able to play the PS4 version. I tried the solution above to no avail. I don't mind waiting until the 20th, but I don't think that is the solution. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Once you install the PS4 version, highlight it in your list of games. A link will be in the middle of the screen to Play Now (or something like that). Next to it are three dots. Click on the dots and a menu pops up. The third line down is the option to install the PS5 Full version. You need to leave the PS4 disc in the console to both install and play the PS5 version of the game.

Thank you, but I've tried that. The only options I see when I select the 3 dots is: View Product, Unfollow and Health/Ratings/Privacy/Terms.

LOL. Yes and yes. There just isn't any option to download PS5 version anywhere.

This is true, and i don't believe come the 20th the option to download the ps5 version is going to magically appear smh.
