I can't believe people were expecting it to be different.

Game on both consoles with new consoles and during a pandemic doesn't exactly give much time for new and shiny graphics.

There are some little things, like birds flying around, dirt getting disturbed as game progress. But I think they focused on mainly letting the game run at 60 fps. That way you don't get those horrible frame drops. I'll take that over graphics.

I was expecting 1080p 120Hz support like countless ps4 titles that got upgrades to ps5. But it looks like we get 60Hz no matter the resolution. Got a monitor to play this year and that seems pointless at this point.

Hopefully now that Sony came out with their 120fps patch yesterday (to match Microsoft) they will patch in 120, which would likely be trivial (especially on the Microsoft side). Also, 120 is more than just the frames .... it also lowers the input lag on displays that are optimized for 120, so not having 120 is a double whammy for users that have the 4k@120 HDMI 2.1 capable hardware.

I filed a bug formally asking SDS to apply the Sony 120fps and Microsoft 120fps patches to get 120 support. Again, it isn't just 120fps, but also by not having 120fps they are causing us to double our input lag as well. A double whammy. 😞

Anyone feel ps5 graphics are identical to MLB SHOW 20?

Don't see much difference to be honest

I actually think 20 looked better. They messed up the lighting, night games are dark in most stadiums and lighting looks weird. The beautiful lighting inside of domes during day games is gone now. Skin textures look bad on a lot of players. Feels like and unfinished game. So many weird little glitches and issues and the lighting just kills the experience.

I see the difference. Maybe your not running the PS5 version or your monitor doesn't support 4K.

I had to adjust a couple of settings on my TV and in the PS5 settings menus. The game is running 4K HDR on mine as well after these adjustments.

Good I'm glad it's not just me that feels this way. Everything just kind of seems dim and dark instead of bright and vibrant. When the PS5 came out MLB the Show 20 on the highest resolution and HDR looked beautiful, but this just doesn't look really good

This is about the only thing I think SDS got right with this years game. It looks a lot better. Way better lighting, Lot better detail in the player models and crowd. Stadiums look better..

Ps5 graphics are much improved. Game is more fluid. Hitting seems more difficult. Pitching don't throw it down the middle.

HDR is handled by the system settings not the game on PS5. The game on PS5 and Xbox Series X is 60 FPS.

Thanks Collin, good to know. Looking forward to playing the show on my XBX-X

Agreed. Hopefully this gets patched soon. Here’s a comparison for both games in Oriole Park.

This. I did RTTS as a pitcher last year and it was next to impossible to pitch at tikes with the frame drops last year.

I was wrong. This game is beautiful and amazing. I had to make some adjustments to the settings on my TV, mostly to the color weirdly enough, and when I did the game just popped. It looks better than it ever has.
