I cannot seem to start a new RTTS as a catcher. It only starts as a two-way from which I can select infield or outfield but no catcher?

    Anybody figured out how?

    Thanks in advance.

I equipped my player with a chest protector and when they asked me about what position I wanted to play catcher came up with infield and outfield choices.

Thank you! Guess I’ll need to buy a chest protector 🙂

Nope, didn’t work... any other ideas? I also equipped leg guards. Did you equip all three catcher items?

Quick question, is your Ballplayer left or right handed?

I am right handed... I equipped a chest protector and leg guards... didn't have a catcher's mask. When they asked me about position I had infield, outfield, and catcher listed...

I got Catcher as a secondary by choosing Catcher when asked. Still 1b primary and no idea how to get Catcher primary. 🤷‍♂️

Aha! Of course! I probably set me up a lefty. Will check. Thanks mate 🙂

It was because my ballplayer was a lefty. Change him to a righty and you can choose catcher.

I’m now testing what happens when you back out, change throw hand to lefty and go back into catcher RTTS.

Edit: it forces you to be a righty catcher, even though it says you throw L. When your pitching comes up as a two way, you’re throwing L. Probably the best way to do it.

Slightly disappointed that despite not having a mask in my loadout my catcher had one on field. I really wanted to see how that played out without one 🙂

Just pretend you borrowed the Equipment Mgrs. 15 YO mask that was handed down, never washed and has all the 15 year dings, scratches and smells ....... lol
