    God I wish we could turn it off in the game and I wish MLB would eliminate it!

    Yeah, but you can. And it is probably the first thing I do after making sure my hitting is zone and pitching is analog.

    Not sure if there is a general setting, probably is. But I know you can turn it off when pitching before ABs, for the inning, etc... I don't know if you can turn it off while batting, nor should you be able to. "Hey man don't play there!" won't really happen in a real game...

    Or, you know, just learn how to hit the ball to the empty half of the field.

    I actually like the shift because you if you can get a line drive to the opposition field you will at least have a double with an average speed guy. I got a triple with trout like that yesterday on the show down.
