Pitching RNG

Just so everybody knows, this is not a bug its a feature. They choose year after year to make user input while pitching an afterthought. It does seem to get worse year to year but this is something they want in the game. I have no clue why, when all they do is talk about user input being all-important, but this is the way it fuckin is

Talking points vs. actual revenue strategy. The RNG is part of the model. Things are a little out of balance this year, though. The hitting is improved (less RNG), while pitching is still super random.

I cant wait to see how this plays out when this game gets into Esports, the tournaments should be an absolute joy, I will be on here for sure during the tournaments just for the post game comments

People typically don't take responsibility for their failures in these video games. Nothing will change that IMO

Because they can square up pretty much every single pitch that is thrown at them. They can decipher really well between balls and strikes and wait for their pitch and when their pitch comes they capitalized. Let's say the average person squares up a ball 10% of the time well the top leaders square up the ball 80% of the time. I totally just made those percentages up but you get my point.

Because they can give up 9 runs and still run rule you in 5. Next question.

Because they can mash lol. Have you looked at their era’s though? All of them are over at least 4.00 there’s even top players with an era over 6.00. Guys that have historically been pretty good pitchers are getting their era run up by this bad pitching input. I’ve always been a better pitcher than a hitter, but I’m hitting like 70 points higher than what I normally hit. But my era which is normally between like a 2.85 - 4.00 is at well over a six. And I have really strong starters for this stage of the game. So clearly there’s an issue with the pitching.

You’re so right. They crammed ALL the RNG to the Defensive side of the ball. Especially the pitching! Everything about it is just random.
