I'd love for SDS to get the rights to Mark Teixeira one year

Not some super legend but a huge part of those 2000s Yankee teams plus a power switch-hitter. I'd imagine his rights aren't terribly hard to acquire.
-
He left after 2016, same as Fielder.
If he does come back, it should be as a Ranger, not a Yank. Yanks already have 847 legends. Rangers have ... 2 1/2? (Young, Pudge, & occasionally Nolan)

I wouldn't say a huge part to the 2000's yankee team he came to the yankees in 2009 when they bought their last world series with CC and Tex. I would think he would be back at some point as the recent players are coming back ie papi and Mo

If he comes back he should absolutely be a Yankee. He won a majority of his gold gloves with the Yankees, a majority of his All-Star appearances, his 2nd place MVP year was a Yankee, and his only WS ring was a Yankee.

Yankee WAR: 19.3 over 7.1 years

Modern baseball fans do count those as nothing, don’t you know baseball is played on a calculator now.
