Has anything been mentioned about whether anything has been done to prevent dashboarding in MLB Show 21

Hopefully announced overhaul of prestige process will mitigate the impact of dashboarding but I don't expect it'll stop. Had one after one (1) high swinging strike. But yeah, I'll always take the wins, not always easy for me to get them!

It won't. I would think most people don't dashboard because they are trying to screw you out of prestige stats. They quit because they just gave up a homerun and are losing. They would not quit if they were 6 runs ahead and the player you are trying to prestige hit a solo homer.

THIS...Yes, It sucks to get dashboarded. But you can’t stop people from turning off a video game when they get frustrated. Rage quitting has been & always will be part of gaming...What I would like to see as a solution is this - The MLB2K games used to have it that when someone would quit, The cpu would take over the game & you would finish against the cpu. This way everyone wins - You get to keep all your stats & the upset player gets to go play COD & cool off. I see no reason why SDS couldn’t do this as well.

Sounds good, or at least let the play finish and then say “continue can cpu or take opponents forfeit “

That wouldnt work cause once it switched youd be accruing vs cpu stats and not head to head stats.

Yeah I like the option. Not that I force people to rage quit a ton. But when I do. I’m glad I got to win in a much shorter time

If a home run is hit it should count no matter what

If the people didn't want to screw you out of prestige stats they would wait the three seconds to let the ball land and then quit from the pause menu. It's almost always about screwing the player out of prestige stats. Almost all dashboards that have happened against me were when it was a prestige player hitting the homerun.

The prestige stats is lame IMO. The card should just be as is. I don’t like them inflating attributes just because you played with them for a while.

Dashboarding gets worse and worse every year, almost like it coincides with the gameplay. I will say this though, the prestige stats were a dumb idea, I gave up trying to prestige players after my Todd Helton got thrown at every single time he stepped up to the plate in the first month. Community is just toxic, and it will only get worse.
