How does anyone working 40 hours a week complete all 30 team affinity for each stage and still have time to play actual games ?

Probabally don't this is based off last year when majority was locked down. And had alot of time on thier hands.

Showdowns don’t take that long. Those plus lockdown for stage 1&2 and then exchanges for 3&4

Yeah but alot of people didn't play showdown b/c of paying stubs to play and some actually found it to difficult. I dunno i hope pay to play modes go away.

I wouldn't mind the 'pay to play' aspect of Showdown because you usually can get those stubs back. However, I would rather they have you lose some of your 'runs' towards the final boss, if you lose against a mini boss, than having you lose the whole thing.

Naturally big you can't beat the final boss; then you have to start over. But if you can't make it past the first or second one, instead if having to start completely over, you lose 1-2 runs from what you've obtained.

Are you sure you wouldn't mind pay to play? Madden you had to purchase tickets to play online i haven't bought madden since 05 it has gone downhill ever since the competitive players got the voice. I do not want this Franchise to go down that rabbit hole. It's the only good sports game out there in regards to taking care of all fans.

I agree my comment was a little strange.

What I meant is that I don't mind paying the 1000-1500 to play Showdown.

Usually you can make that back within the first few Moments.

I just would like that if they kept that in; then change what happens if you can't get past the Mini Boss Moments.

Instead of losing the whole thing; have it so you lose some runs you've already received.

Heck, you don't even get runs if you beat them.

Ah gotcha! I still think it's to much rewards toward TA compared to playing MTO, CPU, or even Conquest they all take between 10 to 14 hours.

The problem with trying to make it manageable for the 40 hour work week crowd, is that others that grind the game as quickly as possible...i remember finding out about prestige xp path when I was still like in the silver tier....sds doesn't want the grinders to stop playing because there is nothing to grind for...remember the wait between stage 2 and 3...

I think there is a balance. Last year was full lockdown, so a lot of people had way more time to play. That will be very different this year for many and I hope they have taken that into account. Also, I liked how they increased rewards for Showdown TA near the end of the year, that definitely helps the 40 hour/week crowd.

I think a quick fix would be to make a lot of things repeatable...if you max out the prestige path, you should have the option to start over from bronze 1 and earn the rewards again (make everything sellable). If you max out the wins in an event, start over at zero wins and re-earn the rewards. If you hit WS, start back at all-star (I’d hate for someone in spring training to match up against a WS player...they’d never play again) and work your way back up to WS (next season you should start where you would have started as a WS player). If you max out TA for a team, have the option to start over.

My biggest hope is that they don’t screw with the sliders for showdown. That was by far my biggest issue with the game last year in the beginning. I was like 0-30 in showdown until they made it easier in the summer.

One change I would really like to see is for innings not to start over at zero when you reach the next TA level.

Seriously, I edged mine on the first TA to 190ish for stage 2 and was disappointed lol. But for some reason I did get innings on some of them

People completing them due to the lockdown is another thing

I’m talking about having time to play while still working full weeks and grind all 30 team affinity’s is insane.
Hopefully they give us some more ways by playing online to complete them efficiently because when I have time to play, I don’t want to be playing the computer

I was able to do it last year as I worked 40 hours a week all year and continue to do so, The grind takes alot so it was easier to flip cards to complete TA. Used Conquest, MTO and Showdowns as well. TA is not meant to be done in the first week, it was not meant to be able to finish all 30 teams, T3 and T4 they made the cards sellable so those who did not have the time or did not want to grind was able to buy off the market.

i think its 5 complete showdowns = 2 completed TA i remember this year being able to grab 2 cards then just going 0-15 into final bosses and battling them and patiently waiting for good pitchs to hit at.

practice hitting enough, I was able to do 0-15 against pearson on extreme within about 5 attempts
