Will it be easier to make WS in seasons this year?

We have a ton of new competition and people who have never played the game. I believe seasons will be cross generation so that should make things easier to get wins for guys who have been playin for years but get stuck at 700

I think it will be easier in the lower levels stacking up wins but once you get to 800+ you’re gonna be playing other good players so it won’t be any easier than previous years to make WS.

I could be totally wrong but I’m still not convinced gameplay is totally cross gen unless you’re playing a friend. They keep specifically saying you can play “friends” on Xbox and PS4 and. You can play in a “friends” created stadium.
I feel like the point would have been made clearly at some point by now. SDS is always very careful with their wording.

Ya thats what we arent really sure of until the game drops. I was under the impression that we have 1 market between both consoles

I played 300 RS games 2 years ago and made it to 550. This year I played 500 games and made it to 700 but my issue is I may play 10 games in one day. If you are truly playing to rank up I think you have to stop at 3 in one siting

Why would u want to stop at 3 in a day? Whats the difference
In one sitting you can only focus so much. This game takes an incredible amount of focus and you have to be dialed in the whole time.

Yes and I have long struggled to hit so I start with a pitch in a zone and eliminate them after certain counts bc I cant seem to move my pci correctly.

Thwy said in a thread though I don't remember which one it was but thwy stated flat out that everyone can play everyone except if you are using a custom stadium. Then its only next gen vs next gen. It is 100% cross platform according to @Collin_SDS_PSN

Ive tried to use directional but somehow all i can do on high fastballs is a pop fly that barely leaves the infield. But my approach is 100% the same as a directional hitter so maybe I should just commit to it

Doubt it. It may help players stuck that have good skill but kept getting snakebit by perfect perfect warning track shots, but hurt the guys winning 3-2 by hitting chinkers and hitting solo shots outside the zone after striking out 19 times ...so may even out

Not sure if the tech test is different than what will drop but I’m playing on ps5 and I got matched up against lots of people on Xbox in the tech test.

As far as i recall they said they have a new ranked system this year so maybe it'll even be harder who knows what system they are using.

Colin actually confirmed here that when you match up with someone with a controller next to their name that is another console platform and when you see the icon for your console its the same console platform

I said it before, I'll say it again. MLB The Show 21 supports cross-play and cross-generational play. So everyone plays everyone when matched together. The only condition where you can't match against someone is if you are using a create a stadium, as created stadiums can ONLY be created and played on next-gen consoles.
You can play in friendly games with friends on other consoles. We will have more on that later.

@Collin_SDS_PSN will they address if the showdown difficulty will be reasonable for the average player and the logic of moments (walks/hit batsmen/nearly impossible missions) in the stream on Thursday? If not, would you be kind enough to answer?
