My advice is to start over until you get all of them in the first section+
Then take breaks between sections

I was just about to post about this lol is the showdown mode really had for everyone or do I just suck?

I was on a hot streak and completed all of the missions and up through the one before the second elimination. Then all of a sudden I couldn't hit and got eliminated. However, the pack from the first elimination round produced a diamond Charlie Morton.
