Sadly, no two games play the same online. In one game, you'll be early on 101 FB's, in another game you have to swing as soon as the ball leaves the hand to make late contact.

Yes, the better the internet connection, the more lag you experience. I am on Fiber in my house and the game is all over the place. When I play on wifi at work, it's much more stable. There are pages and pages of discussion on the how and why of that. But you are correct, your internet seems to be just right for stable game play.
For some of us, every inning is a completely different experience. As the game rubber bands back and forth to adjust it's an absolute nightmare. It's better if I'm the home team, but I don't want to always back out of games on repeat until I'm at home.

Put it this way. If you didn’t play mlb the show before 2017 then Youre opinion is hard to take serious because you didn’t play this game when it was all about input. If you did play before 2017 and you think these games are better. You weren’t that good at inputs back then? I don’t know. But the game in the last few years has been bad. Period. I’m saying 20 is worse then 19 you are saying I’m saying 19 was a great game...nah. I standby the statement that 19 was random. But [censored] I didn’t know then they’d put out and EVEN WORSE game...

I competed for World Series virtually almost every year they had ranked seasons with the exception of 20
20 I cannot get out of division. The one time I did get to championship I had the season ended so it was back to the allstar dice roll for me. The hitting is slightly more random and the pitching is also now random...makes the game worse. So besides it having a ridiculous amount of randomness I just get frustrated and can’t lock in because 9 lineouts to the defense after giving up a 3-2 homer with 3 check swings, 9 foul tips and a ball dug out of the dirt is bad gameplay...especially after I show patience and good contact on pitches you SHOULD swing at...what’s the point? It’s a dice roll.
Listen the developers admitted that the game is based on simulation and not skill...something I’ve been telling you . You still can’t accept it but they now have ADMITTED that to be the case. So your skill based argument is out the window.
Some of the most respected players in this game admitted this game is a dice roll on allstar and below. BR is like playing roulette.
The simulation style has been growing more and more every year. This year they added more simulation to the pitching...please explain how the developers can admit something that is blatantly obvious within a few games of playing mlb 20. — yet you can’t seem to find it in yourself to accept this fact that is now confirmed by San Diego studios?
Explain this. I can’t get out of division barely. Struggle to get 8-9 wins in BR on 20.
21 beta comes out and I basically don’t lose? Get 12 wins on my first BR attempt?! what happened? I’ll tell you what happened... those 9 line outs became 3 lineouts. And those check swings became strikes. And that ball in the dirt isn’t a homer anymore. That’s exactly what happened. And that’s not me bragging. That should be glaring on the gameplay aspect of things.

Do tell, how do you check your timing? Do you just hope for the best? Do you strike out 10 times a game? Do you just pray to the Gods?
Sadly, no two games play the same online. In one game, you'll be early on 101 FB's, in another game you have to swing as soon as the ball leaves the hand to make late contact.
So, if you find it so funny, spread the secret you're keeping from the rest of us!

I don’t see the same difference in games that you do , I guess in the words of demise my connection is just good enough to not have to worry about that. I never have to swing as soon as the ball leaves the pitchers hands and I’m certainly not check swinging every pitch like you are. Yes, the better the internet connection, the more lag you experience. I am on Fiber in my house and the game is all over the place. When I play on wifi at work, it's much more stable. There are pages and pages of discussion on the how and why of that. But you are correct, your internet seems to be just right for stable game play.
For some of us, every inning is a completely different experience. As the game rubber bands back and forth to adjust it's an absolute nightmare. It's better if I'm the home team, but I don't want to always back out of games on repeat until I'm at home.
At no time have I ever stated that I check swing every pitch. If you had taken the time to read (I know, tough for you), you would have seen that I used one extreme example from my most recent game. I was offering a possible answer for the OP, certainly not taking a position one way or another on the mechanics.
Later in the thread, I discuss the welcome change with check swings coming to 2021. But go on, tell us how big of a man you are

All star sucks nobody denies that, the difference between actual good players and you is we still win on all star.. I think I’m hitting .500 in BR, in a 3 inning event on all star where 3 swings of randomness can lose you the game I’m in 4th in the event using a bunch of random dudes to try and get prestige stats. Why is it that every half decent player can get out of all star with ease but nah you this amazing player who the game is always against can’t? Something doesn’t add up here. Well I mean it does for me, but doesn’t seem to add up for you. I’m out, enjoy complaining about how the game is always out to get you week 2 of 21. I’m done with your nonsense. Go hit BP and get better.

I’ve proven beyond a reasonable doubt that I’m better then half decent... so. You are in denial. And you aren’t as good as you think you are.

Lowest I’ve finished in the overall rankings since I’ve started playing online is 236th this isn’t a 20 thing my guy.
Counting a 25-0 run to World Series in a game that nobody plays anymore is not the way to judge anything but like I said, I’ll see your complaints in a month

False I was 900+ in 19 several times. I was not World Series just late in a game cycle...don’t listen to this dude he’s talking out of the side of his face and still refuses to put the game in and play me in it...
