Zone hitting is unrealistic, I think.

I admire that zone hitting users are so brilliant at their skill,
but it is unrealistic, I think.
How many homers can real baseball players make with hitting so extremely high or low ball from strike zone?
Of course, it is not impossible, but rare.
But, in SHOW, we see that too often,
I know that we can variegate difficulty and slider, but, anyway zone hitting is unrealistic.
SHOW should lower the possibility of hit of the ball far from strike zone. -
You realize people are using the most juiced players at this point. Also, if you knew what was coming as a pro you are going to crush, see Astros circa 2017/2018. Some Show players are so absolutely terrible at pitch sequencing and positioning that it is like they are flashing on the screen what the next pitch is and where it is going to be. Low or high, if it is expected it is crushed. If you ask me pitch speeds are too slow though.

Pitch speeds still too slow? They are at the best spot they have ever been in IMO. And the fastest they have been in years

I 100% agree, HoF and Legend are excellent but there is such a massive drop off in AS. They are the best they have been for awhile.

And my issue is the way the ball is delivered to home plate. Many pitchers just look like they have no energy when throwing to the catcher. Throwing a pitch has a lot of force behind it but even some of the hardest throwers in the game don’t translate well. It’s like they are lobbing it in there.

4860 MLB games are played each year. That's maybe 2-3 hours at launch.
Stuff you see can happen, has happened and seems to happen more often cause we play a lot more than the RL guys do.

I get 2430 regular season plus 31-44 postseason games plus all star game plus any tiebreakers... did you forget to divide by two?
Edit: I’ve messed up the postseason number
Edit again: 26-43 postseason games -

That's because you believe the ball has to be in that zone to swing.
The zones are the hitters strengths and weakness of his bat path to get through the hitting zone to pitches that land in the hitters strike zone of the strike zone.
Red zones = that bat path is highly used by that hitter and his timing is best through those zones, so unless you hit the edges any ball timed right that is not on the edge and catches too much of the plate to that side of the plate, has a chance to get smoked , blue means its hard for that hitter based on his natural swing to get through the zone.In baseball we call this staying as long as possible with your hands in the hitting zone , for example up and away is crushed by a red zone bat path from lower away up through the ball cut if the timing is correct where the hitter gets his hands through that zone with force up into the baseball.
This is why being in the middle of the plate is always bad for a pitcher unless he has a weak hitter all around at the plate because the middle zone connects every swing location to some sort of hitters best swing path . Hope that helped.
Another Example a cold middle in right hand hitter but has a hot away middle , his swing path can get to that middle in if its in the strike zone and not on the black , his natural bath path brings his hands in =inside out hitter and can pull that ball just as effective. The pull of the swing will be based on his timing but his strength is taking the ball the opposite field and has the largest window for his swing timing if he is trying to hit to the opposite field.

You must not watch much actual baseball. Players get hits off balls out of the zone with pretty substantial regularity.
I actually find it harder to hit a ball outside of the zone with Zone hitting than it seems to be in real life.

There are also a limited number of outcomes and animations in the game, however life is somewhat infinite in possibilities

I think people are too stuck on realism. It’s a video game. Griffey doesn’t hit 245 but he’s hitting that for me lol. Is what it is.

I agree Zone is unrealistic. I find myself bouncing between it and directional

My PCI would have been in the dirt on that pitch.
