Unbearable lag at Comerica
-
After playing a bunch of recent games at Shippett, I got stuck in a game at Comerica (against Grove) and the lag completely ruins the game to the point of frustration...
Every pitch he threw was down my throat before I could even react, even the offspeed. And when you try guessing, which is pretty much the only thing I could do, it'll mess your timing up even worse.
He wouldn't accept the friendly, I wound up going 5 innings, the exploit worked against him too, as I no hit him through 5 with Degrom before deciding this was too damaging to my swing timing and resigned in a 0-0 game with no runners on. If that's the only way he can win, so be it, it worked against me, still, only a loser in life would try to exploit a non-baseball glitch.
This game is only playable in Shippett. No other park offers that level of fairness to both players. I start every game October 7PM for the early darkness. I feel it is the only park in the game that offers optimal visual and playability conditions.
The primary thing that must be address in 2021 version, above anything having to do with the game play itself, is this lag problem. I want to be able to use the other stadiums, especially the MLB ones, but they are all completely broken when playing online.

I played at Comerica against the CPU yesterday and had no problems. It could be your internet connection, or the internet issue could've been on his end. Go to your Playstation's settings > Network > Test internet connection. If your connection speeds are at least 12 mbps, you should be in the green.

Most, if not ALL, MLB stadiums have lag online. It's due to the amount of graphics it takes to make the stadiums look realistic.
You won't notice the lag vs the cpu, even though you're still online, because it isnt a peer vs peer scenario.
The only way to combat the online lag in a stadium, that's not based on a user's connection, is to use non-MLB stadiums.

That frame lag goes away on ps5 it’s pretty sweet.

I don't know about lag, but I just played a dude at Comerica in a summer night game and the glare off the TV tower was so bad I could not see the ball out of a righties hand till about the 7th inning when some shadows stated to creep in...

People have a habit on confusing internet lag to frame rate issues. What you see in major league stadiums in this game are frame rate drops. These go away if you are lucky enough to have a PS5 because it just has more power to run the game. The internet connection issues between players is happening if players are teleporting or if your pitch to home plate is in slow motion. The batter is seeing it at normal speed but its just the game trying to sync things up again.
