What are the odds of even getting one of the new systems before the release of the show and does anyone have an idea of when they will be easier to buy?

Odds are not good.
Easier to obtain after the fall. Chip suppliers are having issues for video cards, gaming consoles and automobiles.
You have a better chance to get vaccinated TBH.

whoever wants a xbox and doesn't have one by now really isn't trying...PS5 is a different matter. Releases have really been stagnated by the chipmaking industry in China. Lots of business are suffering from this lack of supply, including cars. Scalpers will milk this until supply is plentiful and that won't be for a while.

as an avid PC gamer, videocards have been insane.

I ordered 65 Chromebooks for school in August. They got fulfilled finally last week with my last 40 delivered by CDW.
I was dead serious about vaccine being readily available for all before a PS5 or XBOX will sit on a shelf.

I couldn’t get a ps5 so I got an Xbox... I’m just glad the show is on Xbox this year so I don’t have to get last gen/current gen? I already got the 100$ version paid for on Xbox store

Yeah I got lucky and found a scalper that was only charging 50 bucks over the cost so I bought it. Its tough as hell to find anything for ps5. I did find some xbox consoles but I have zero interest in one of those

Only 50 bucks over? Did you actually get the console yet? At that price I would expect a PS5 box full of used pinball machine parts.

I got it, works great and I got the receipt from Amazon that he had for it. Not sure why he sold it at that but im good with it. Been using mine for 2 weeks now, absolutely love the system

That's some fantastic luck. Congrats. I've really enjoyed mine too. I had a minor scare a week or so after launch where it kept powering down, but I think it was due to rest mode and the external drive I had plugged in. I haven't had any issues since.

I lucked out on getting an Xbox from Walmart a few weeks ago - I've been playing the Show on PS4, but excited to be back on Xbox with it.

Just got one the earlier this week from a local store, Meijer for any Midwest people out there. They’ve had more restocks in the last couple weeks then the first 3 months it was out, PlayStation direct had drops on back to back days last week, there coming.

My friend was at a shoppers drug Mart and saw someone walk out with a ps5. He asked if they had anymore. He called me asked if I wanted one. This is how lucky I got just before Christmas
