soooo xbox or no?

the leaked cover showed a xbox version.. what are the actual chances we will get it for xbox? and why is there a xbox one cover not a xbox series x one?
-
Yeah the game will be on Xbox this year. They announced it last year. I think this will be the first year, but the leaked photo does have a PlayStation studio link on the Xbox game. I’d assume they’d make them only put SDS on it

I'd prefer it to remain a Sony exclusive but there are numerous reports stating that it will be available on the Xbox Series Q Sub-S / We Can't Name Our Product Sensibly.

Why prefer it an exclusive?

It keeps the development team –and the resulting game– focused and polished as they do not have to spread resources to maintain multiple systems, especially that the XBOX platform has 5 SKUs (XBO/XBO-S/XBO-X/XBS-S/XBS-X) and it's been demonstrated that development quality and innovation suffers when the game is diluted to a lot of platforms. More so if the team is small like SDS, unlike EA and 2K and their large multidisciplinary teams.

They hired more devs to handle the workload according to a report last year, theres one team for PS4/PS5 & another for xbox one/series X.

A good reason is that it’s less likely to take advantage of things unique to PlayStation, such as the Touch Bar (which it hasn’t anyway) and, on PS5, adaptive triggers.
Using those triggers as a way to differentiate a swing between batters would have been an interesting interface... but something that won’t happen because Xbox doesn’t have an equivalent. Not to say that was on the cards, just using it as an example to support my opening.
