Real men and actual baseball guys use Pure Analog Stride, casuals and video game players use Aiming button pressing :).

Really? Aren't you letting the computer aim your swing for you with pure analog? Could be wrong, but sounds like the least skill needed if you are only timing and not aiming

In my humble opinion. Zone and zone alone should be the only hitting type for online play. It would not only be the most skill based. BUT it would clean up a lot of the hitting issues ppl run into because now there is ONE hitting style to balance. When you implement things like directional and analog— it’s like —do you make those MORE effective? Do you make those LESS effective? You cannot make them equally effective because that’s impossible. Why? Because every zone user is a different skill set. So what do you set the RNG to? What level? Allstar winning level? World Series? Cus let’s face it those hitting styles are very RNG based.

And THAT is why I believe they started implementing a lot of lineouts and pitching mistakes down the middle...because instead of balancing analog and directional to the zone hitting...they balanced zone hitting to the analog directional.

It’s been my argument for years. And I refuse to think this isn’t the case.

I do think they are turning over a new leaf and I think analog and directional hitters will have to use those offline if they really want to compete at the World Series level. (Which was the case for the most part on legend). But now I think even getting there will be very very hard with an enormous amount of luck for those hit styles.

This would be most accurate representation of hitting, sadly has to be most difficult.

I mostly use Zone. Use Directional sometimes for Moments if I struggle with zone

    Zone and stride baby.

I don’t totally understand it but it feels like it’s possible to understand and when I do I’ll be incredible. In the meantime, it feels the most like baseball, which is all I ultimately care about. I suck at hitting in real life too so.

Is there a reason we cant use the ps4 camera to just swing an actual bat? Well, aside from the fact I'd never be able to get my security deposit back.

Yeah Stride analog is the most natural way of all the ways to hit in this game, too bad the majority of people like using a PCI like its target practice or Dunk Hunt.
