Why are people complaining? let's just chill and wait.

I love the positivity in your post, OP, but many of us are in the “once bitten, twice shy” camp when it comes to this game.
I’d love to think you are correct, but past experiences have led me to believe that SDS is much more likely to hype than to humbly put their head down and fix things. Every “fix” seems to be delivered with bravado, so silence does not suggest anything good to me.

I’m getting the feeling it’s gonna be a late May release. Might even be later considering that’s only 5 months from now. I have no evidence to support this, just a hunch.

I mean... if they were making big changes/improvements, wouldn't they be marketing the hell out of it?
I can't recall a single case of a developer marketing a game less because they felt it was going to be better than expected.
Yeah, that is my feeling as well.

they have to also develop for 3 new systems too, i can see why the delay.

I get the sentiment, but taking a few minutes to update people what's going on has 0 effect on development, it may be that they are working super hard to really improve the gameplay, but that doesn't mean they don't have a few minutes to write a Twitter post or something.
Yeah I get what you're saying.

Last time there was a Show game released after March was in 2014. On 11/4/2013 they confirmed MLB The Show 14 was to be released on 4/1/2014 and PS4 version was coming in May. They waited until 2/13/2014 to confirm the game fact sheet and the PS4 release date of 5/6/2020.
At least then we knew in November the next gen console was going to be late. It's January 14th, 2021 and we know nothing ️

It’s their product, they can do what they want when they want. It’s not like they’ve taken preorders yet.
SDS answers to no-one except ownership and God. And he doesn’t have to answer to us.

DD online casual noobs don't have patience.

Let's look at the big picture here. Here in this country we have the covid pandemic so I assume it hit SDS as well. The PS5 just came out and they plan to have the game on other platforms. So that means a whole bunch of programming to do and probably short staffed because of the virus. Real baseball may be late again this year so just be patient. You still have this years game. The new game will be out when it is released. Maybe mid March maybe not.

Been playing since 17 and honestly surprised people are actually looking for to a new game when. Its been disspointing year in and year out. Numerous bugs with hitting, pitching feilding, running. They cant get it right on one consle and now they are gonna cross platform what a joke... if you cant make a game well enough for a consle what makes you able to do it across multiple systems. Mlb 20 was the last chance for sds franchise to change my opinion and at the end of this games life cycle im still experienceing to many issuses for a game they charge as much as what they do. Plus all the money they make from micro transactions.

You think Ramone or Victor or Luis or whoever can just bang out a tweet announcing something? That it doesn't have to pass through Legal, Marketing, Corporate, etc?
If they make any sort of announcement promising something and then end up not delivering, how would the gripers feel then?

I'm not talking about promising something or talking specifically about details of 21. I'm just talking in general, "We are looking forward to telling you more about 21 in the future", just something other than complete radio silence. Kinda like the tweet they did the other day
