Why can’t they just put these cards for sale and let us spend the stubs we have since new game will be out shortly. I really don’t want to spend a million on rituals and ankle bracelets
I'll start by saying I'm either not good enough(most likely) or not patient enough to go 12-0 or make World Series. Obviously 12-0 is harder than WS, but those cards are REWARDS that someone achieved. Just putting them up for anyone who wants to buy one wouldn't be fair to them and their accomplishment. I was fortunate enough to pick up SOME of the cards this year off the market since the person who earned it decided to sell. There's cards I would have like to add to my inventory that I won't be able to because of the long queues, but there were cards I was able to secure just the same. There's a few cards you might be able to secure, it's up to you whether they are someone you want. Good Luck to you, I hope you can get at least one of your buy orders filled, but I do not feel SDS should just put them up for a million each. Perhaps being able to have either a BR rewind pack or WS rewind pack(limited to 1/person total not each) could be an event reward so it wouldn't completely tank the market for the people who actually earned them is a possibility.

I understand where you are coming from with this reasoning, but let's face it the only time WS players are taking anyone but Mays is if they don't have the card and want to keep it. As for BR rewards, only Chipper and Wagner sell more than like 10 times a month. The older WS rewards need to be moved to CS(there is absolutely no excuse for that guy having to pay a million to get Juan freaking Pierre yesterday), and the non-99 BR rewards need to be 9 wins with only Chipper/Wagner being 12-0, the rest 12 wins. It would give a lot more reason for people to play BR this late in the year too

This is basically what I was in the process of typing when I saw it pop in. I completely agree, and I will add that rewind packs could be expanded upon to help with supply of super rare cards too. I think this is the first year they have done something like that, which I appreciate.

I mentioned rewind packs in my post

If SDS goes back to not handing out millions of stubs, this complaining would stop immediately. Only those who go 12-0, workers of the market, or those who put it on their card, would have realistic access to them. The glut of million dollar orders would vastly dry up, and those who had a million stubs would actually be able to get their player.
-
Also, if SDS had a bigger variety of packs, it would also serve to pull some of these stubs out of the market. I'm not saying go 100% the Madden Ultimate Team route, but there is a balance there. The content this year has been fantastic but they could have done more than just headliner packs, duck packs, and beach ball packs, the latter two of which were instantly stale.

I agree with you, but everytime I bring this up in this discussion there is a mob of people that say "you don't want stubs to be easy to acquire, you must hate free stuff" when they don't realize that easy stubs for all is the reason this happens. As a market worker myself it just sucks having 3 orders in currently waitlisted for
-
People talk of the glut of stubillionares but compared to the player base the amount of orders for million stub cards are probably way less than ten percent. Just sayin. On a side note if you complain about stubs being too easy to get you can't complain about the game being over monetized or pay to win.
