MLB The Show ‘21 Wishlist

Here’s my wishlist for ‘21
Animations:
1. Pitching animations tend to be slower than in real life. The animations need a bit more speed. Maybe time for a game speed slider?Visuals:
1. See more emotions in the game like players reacting to error on field, making a impressive play on field, pitchers not getting the calls they want, batters not getting the calls they want.
2. Teammates in dugout chilling and cheering on their teammates who are at bat or on the field.
3. Show managers mad/yelling about a certain call that the umpire made.Commentary:
1. Smarter and deeper level of commentary. The commentary is the same in every game. Maybe update the commentary every few weeks. Madden did this.RTTS:
1. Increasing overall should be faster. And caps should be removed. It's nothing more annoying than trying to increase a skill but it's blocked with a cap. Old school style of upgrading what you want with skill point.
2. Ability to call your agent whenever and not just in between the season or off season. (example: demanding trade immediately, changing to any position, speaking with media). In real life players have full control over their careers .
3. Switching positions to the one you want instead of the suggested one (example: changing from pitcher to outfield, catcher to infield, outfield to pitcher, etc). In rtts we can't change our position, the game chooses the position for us.
4. Interviews with media that influence teammates to play better, encourage more fans to show up, boost team sales, boost team attraction for free agents to sign with team, etc.
5. Make contracts actually mean something (example: buying different style jewelry, upgrading player skills, buying a house, car, personal chef , or trainer.) Like as you get better (more money) in the league you go from apartment to condo to home to mansion. Almost similar to GTA . The more top rank and money you make the better lavish your living situation is.
6. Asking management to target certain players in free agency as well as asking management to keep certain players who you enjoy on the team like in 2K.
7. Apartment, condo, or home in rtts would be cool cause let's be real players aren't in lockerooms 24/7. Also would be cool to see actual rings/trophies/awards our rtts player has earned like in a trophy/display case.
8. After awhile of playing RTTS I found dynamic/boss challenges and player skill increase/player relationship icons intrusive during gameplay. These things should be more subtle, or optioned to be turned off. It makes rtts gameplay seem more arcade while playing on field.
9. Keyword is control. I feel like letting the user have more control over rtts player would make it more fun on field and off field. Checking social media, talking to media like MLB Network, signing sponsorship deals to a brand, upgrading apartment to mansion, using contract money to buy tattoos, clothes, cars, equipment, hire trainer for offseason to boost overall, etc. Maybe some of this over the top but you get my point. Accessories:
1. Fix the jordan 1's. The coloring on the top flap of the shoe should match the red color. And can we see shoe laces tied now?
2. New elbow gaurds
3. Baserunning mitts -
Expand franchise relocation by adding editable stadiums and more jersey fonts create a jersey, add gm/agent interaction.Billion dollar tv/digital rights.
A 2 man booth, rotate them with some games being Matt+ Dan & other games Matt+Mark.I think theres to much talking a 3 man booth does not work.
-
I would like a hair-growth mechanic like in RDR2. Hair grows overtime and you have to cut it once in a while to maintain or style, or grow it out if you want a longer style.

Yes! That part. I love baseball because players have to grind for months so you see details in the player that other sports don’t have. Like hair growing, facial hair growing, hats dirty mid season, gloves grimey and dirty from years of use. I want to see more realism. Like Kershaw for example don’t care about looking good. He uses the same old dirty dirt glove he started his career with. Uses the same dirty hat. I want to see more personality specific for different players.

What I’m going to say is over the top but it would be real dope if sds could get broadcast rights from mlb network and use some audio from those broadcast in real life.

Finally a game mode with 9 Inning games for non online players
Team specific games like "beat every team with your favourite team"10 Games, 3 Players + Pitcher, Rookie, Reward: Team specific Packs, 75-80 Player Item
10 Games, 6 Players + Pitcher, Veteran, Reward: Team specific Packs, 80-85 Player Item
10 Games, Full Team, All-Star, Reward: Team specific Packs, 85-90 Player Itemgood for stat-grinding and you have to use lower level player items from that specific teams

How about we fix online stats. They have not worked for 2 years now. You sort to say the Indians to see where you stand against other Indians users and it shows all. It has not sorted by team for 2 yrs. Can not be that hard to fix.

No more home run replays - They're unneeded and did nothing but add to the trolling by people who think they're the greatest player ever down in the 400-500s
NO KNUCKLEBALLERS!! Steven Wright is playing overseas and Feieraband is not in the league anymore. Remove it as a pitch available in the game.
NO CAP in DD - This is a big one. Having a CAP in DD takes away from the ability to have nothing but current and classic players. Leave the created players in RTTS plz
Weather - Since you took wind out of the game for DD why not remove rain too. It's a pointless element that does nothing to hinder the game other than be a visual distaction (and not much of one)
Classic Stadiums - Take the less popular ones out and bring in some of the popular stadiums of the 80s and 90s like Three Rivers Stadium, Tiger Stadium, Milwukee County Stadium and Riverfront Stadium
-
I wish that if nothing else changes, that I can at least have the option to mute my opponent’s DJ horn at my own home ballpark.
I realize there are kids and teenagers that play this game but I don’t want to hear their sound effects.
-
With all the conquest maps that we have this year, if that returns in 21. I'd like the option to customize. If I'm lets say playing the 7th inning conquest map, and we're in the 11th inning, let me move the 7th inning conquest map to the front of the line.

This. I've been on this for years. It would be a fantastic feature. As a Sox fan I play a lot of games against thr Yankees. Who obviously have the hair policy. Its so weird when they trade for a sign a guy with a beard. To bearded pin stripes in the batters box or on the mound against me doesn't feel right. On the flip side. When a player is traded or signed from the Yankees the option to grow the hair.
-
Also 3 team trades would be a great feature

I don’t play online personally but I fully support this. There is no reason for a person to have to put up with a random opponent’s choice of sound effects, or choice of anything that can be used as a tool to be obnoxious. If anything it’s more work for a developer to add in code that ensures consistency in presentation between the two systems. And when it’s something that makes the playing experience less enjoyable, why put it in? (Home run replays, speaking to you).
Like I said I don’t play online so I’m just going with the flow here.

No doubt home run camera option to turn it off
-
My wishlist is for it to be on PC with ultrawide support, allow it to be modded so stadiums could have RL ads and mod makers can make custom stadiums like all Spring Training parks and equipment. And also to change the name Diamond Dynasty to Diamond Noob Dynasty.

improve AI logic with baserunning:
a) baserunners not taking appropriate number of bases on a hit, the runners will stop mid way between the bases to ensure the ball drops when it's CLEARLY an extra base hit
b) lead runners stopping at second when clearly they should have gone to third bc the ball was in the gap for what should have been a double -
3D grass DURING all gameplay: something like the grass in EA Sports games (Madden, FIFA)
-
Cleveland Municipal Stadium
-
Tiger Stadium
-
era-specific uniforms design templates (baggy early 1900s, collared jerseys, pullover jerseys, real sleeveless jerseys)
-
as always, more brands and models of equipment (big push for Nike catchers equipment)
-
classic equipment such as those used throughout the "golden age" of baseball (classic cleats, gloves, helmets, hats, catchers' gear, eyeglasses)

Better atmosphere/interaction across the board. I'd love to see a wide range of fan and crowd noise/reaction. Think about a middle of the summer, lazy afternoon game atmosphere (where the fans are just chilling more than anything)... and then a postseason, winner take all game atmosphere (where the crowd noise is crazy loud).
-
Along with this, more eruption of emotion from the crowd after a huge go ahead homer from the home team, or big strikeout to get outta a bases loaded jam from the home team. Conversely, a sudden hush/silence if the above situations happen AGAINST the home team.
