June 18, 2017. Giants at Rockies.
Nolan Arenado’s walk-off to hit for the cycle, on Father’s Day. This game was suggested by @Ikasnu!
Starting pitching:
Giants: Ty Blach went 6.2 innings, giving up 7 hits and 3 runs.
Rockies: Tyler Chatwood went 6 innings, giving up 5 hits and 2 runs.
Scoring:
The Giants started the scoring in the top of the 5th with a two-run home run off the bat of Brandon Crawford, making it 2-0 Giants. Nolan Arenado made it a one-run game with a RBI double.
In the bottom of the 7th, Trevor Story hit a solo home run to tie the game at 2 a piece. Pat Valaika then hit a solo Home Run to make it 3-2 Rockies. The Giants came back in the top of the 9th, thanks to a two-run home run by Hunter Pence, and a RBI double by Brandon Crawford, giving the Giants a 5-3 lead.
With one out in the bottom of the 9th, DJ LeMahieu hit a RBI single to make it a 4-5 game. Arenado then hit a three-run home run to win the game, giving the Rockies a 7-5 win over the Giants on Father’s Day. This home run for Arenado also gave him the Cycle.
