I played a game earlier today where I had a guy stealing left and right on me. 3 different times, I made a perfect throw to second or third and even though the ball beat him, a hook slide made him safe each time. Anyone else have this issue? What’s the point of having a ‘perfect’ throw when a hook slide just automatically makes them safe.

I'll throw the question back at you in reverse. Why should perfect throws have to result in outs?

I’m not saying it should be an automatic out by any means. If they get a good jump, I’ll gladly tip my cap, But if the ball beats the runner on a perfect throw they should be out a majority of the time.

Focus on your runner and hold the right stick in the direction you want to hook slide.
