Majority of The Show's Hitting Approach

Directional and press x on every pitch until you get two strikes.
When you get two strikes...change your approach by pressing x on every pitch to foul off close pitches.
Now it's a numbers and waiting game. A pitcher can only throw so many pitches before he hangs one. Keep pressing x until their worlds combine and yahtzee!!!
The best part is your opponent can do his job 8 times..( 2 swing and misses and fooling u six times on "tips" )
He makes one "mistake" ( hanger on perfect or good release )
Your up one...best approach by far.

Lol my favorite is when you're very obviously playing a dirty center swinger...but at least they're using zone and you can K them. If what you described happen on all-star..oh man I feel your pain 100%. That's BR/Events in a nutshell
-
No, the worst is actually when you get up 2 strikes. Dot your pitch on the black 3 times and get check swings that obviously fooled your opponent and they're all called balls. Then they foul off a couple until they draw a walk or get a blooper and then hit a HR with the next batter on a pitch away that they pull for a no doubt HR. Follow it up the next inning when you're hitting and get a perfect/perfect fly out to the warning track with Soto or Griffey.

The check swings where they basically take a 3/4 swing with 2 strikes is maddening.
-
No that’s a terrible approach. I think this is a joke and I hope I’m right. But I don’t understand when people complain about directional hitters.. they’re basically free wins
-
In defense of us directional swingers, foul tipping, getting the most ridiculous breaks in the game on pitches, check swinging like crazy.... it’s not on purpose. We’re terrible. This is just a way for us to stay slightly competitive. I can’t grasp analog... at all. I can barely time with directional.
So I apologize in advance, especially to the World Series player I “beat” last night with no runs scored and him hitting 12 balls to the wall. Even I feel bad for that win.

Ya it’s called RNG and it’s a bunch of censored. Little Billy can’t hit so we will help him compete. Yo bro where can I send your participation ribbon?

I actually find it easier to foul off strings of pitches using zone. With directional, the RNG will determine a miss at some point (yes, sometimes it takes a while). With zone, if I'm seeing the pitch well enough, I can get the PCI close enough almost every time, especially with how big the vision PCI is at this point in the game. Now, part of this is because my mechanics with the PCI isn't top tier, so I'm not quite centering the ball up, causing fouls; but sometimes yes, I'm looking for a mistake while doing so also waiting for my pitch - and the ability to do things like this with zone is slowly making me a better hitter.
-
Haha I go back and forth with zone and directional. I’m not going to get all in to it but I have a problem using a targeting system to hit a baseball. PCI looks like I’m trying to shoot a bazooka in COD not hit a baseball. It’s bad enough trying to pick the ball up to decide to swing or not and then I have to move my scope around as well.

Lol, this sounds exactly like a certain offline only player that frequents these boards...
I have the same issue with "targeting" baseballs like I'm playing Missle Command, so I turn off my inner PCI and just use the force.

My favorite is getting a guy to fully swing on a 3-2 pitch and get a no swing call instead. Only to allow a game winning homer on the next AB. But wait, you dashboard the guy so the HR doesn’t count because he didn’t deserve it.

Literally RS in a nutshell
You cannot pitch effectively with how the game grossly bails out people with ridiculous check swings (Myself included).
That coupled with infuriating, early home runs on pitches outside makes for such a frustrating experience in ranked. Just hope they actually put in effort to make changes going into next year, especially with pitching

Please send it to my house as I’m collecting them! My wife gave me one for putting on my underwear right side out and one for not eating the dog’s food. That was just today!
-
My frustration is the 2 strike swings that they’re so early they get the lunging animation. The pitch was so low it’s off the screen but they still foul it. That’s when you can bank on them hitting a homer.
