Lefty Grove

Bought him for 1M because I didn't feel like grinding the event. His delivery alone makes me have buyer's remorse, I forgot he was Warren Spahn 2.0 but oh well who cares at this point eh?!
-
Yeah I'm not grinding the event either that's why I'd be looking to buy him. Everyone so down on his delivery though now I don't know....haha. If you can get past his delivery, how does he pitch for you guys?

Got him off the market yesterday for about 350k sure it will probably fall but at this point stubs don't matter because I have so many so why not. I liked him last year so will see how he does this evening when I get home.
I did the exact same as you, but paid 30K more than you. Nice job!

I’m so burnt out on grinding for event wins now that I just couldn’t do it again.

If you are debating him or kershaw, kershaw is definitely the way to go. Although grove was decent for me last year

Yeah the main thing that has me considering Lefty is that fastball with outlier. Used Kershaws card a ton last year though and loved it. Heard good things this year as well. For the most part when I face Kershaw I struggle against him although I have gotten to him a few times.

You could always buy lefty to try him out and you don’t like him, I’m sure you could sell him and still have plenty to get kershaw with

Yeah that's what I might end up doing. If his prices drops a little I might loose some stubs but at this point it wouldn't be a huge deal. Would just hate to have his price drop a significant amount over the next couple of days.

I'll use him cause of the hard slider and will see how it goes with sequencing for me but I expect to get crushed...won't be touching that changeup I can tell you that much.

Change ups in this game are rough. If I throw em it's generally WAY out of the zone and DOWN, just as a show me type pitch to mix it up. On paper though I like Lefty's FB obviously, that hard slider looks good and if the curveball and forkball are at least decent he could be pretty dangerous.

I’m about to buy him. After playing so well the last few events , I am awful so far in this one as I am making myself play and heart is not in it.
