It’s rare anyone quits at 0-0. No chance this guy isn’t cheating. And if disconnects then he would have some losses too. No one is too intimidating to play until you start losing to them. Heck he should lose a few games just to make it look realistic.

Yo SDS look in to this please. You don’t want to be getting in Madden territory now do you? Huh do you?

Send sds a private message with screenshots of the offense (e.g. tons of 0-0 final scores) this is obvious denial of service activity and can not only lead to being permabanned but can be referred to fbi for further investigation and criminal prosecution. This is coming from a cyber security expert not a raging gamer.

If he is doing DDOS to boot opponents offline then he’ll be facing legal consequences, as stupid as it may look like DDOSing people is ilegal and penalized with prison time.

Let me just stop you right there. I’ve worked for over a decade as a federal prosecutor and I can assure you that there isn’t an FBI office anywhere in the country that is going waste the manpower to investigate (nor is there a US Attorneys office anywhere in the country that would waste the resources to prosecute) someone for bumping individual players offline so they can win a Justin Verlander card in a MLB Show event. So let’s just stop with this nonsense. Perhaps you might anger SDS and they may impose a ban of some sort but there is a 0% chance of it going past that.

No, they won’t waste their time, but it’s still illegal, against the TOS, and SDS should stop this practice. It loses them money in the long run as it can harm their reputation. Downplaying a baseball game is downplaying their livelihood. But no, no one is getting arrested. .

Just like the thread says first place is 60 and 0. This guy is so good that everyone quits before a pitch is even thrown. I hope one day I can be so intimidating to face.
I noticed that a few days ago. I don't know how the guy was able to pull it off or how SDS turned the other cheek with it. But, its not ok to call people out on the forum...
-
Who is calling the guy out? We are amazed at his skills to go 60-0 and would love to have SDS look him up. With that skill , maybe he should be on the dev team.

Probably not worth the energy and resources if related to a videogame. Just let me know something to be 100%, is it ilegal or not? I may have been wrongly thinking it is this whole time.

With respect to the DDOS stuff, I think technically the answer is probably yes. The statute they’d have to use is likely the Computer Fraud Abuse Act (CFAA), which has been used with some success in cyber bullying cases. The statute is really meant to apply to attacks on bigger systems and/or entire websites, but at least in some cases it has been applied to attacks on individuals. It would be a long shot to get anyone to agree to investigate or prosecute it though, as the result would likely only be a slap on the wrist and as such not anywhere near worth the time and effort.

As someone who actually works cyber security I can 100% guarantee you with out a doubt that it is illegal. It’s not only illegal it’s a felony if you're convicted. And there is actually a task force within the FBI that is dedicated to the investigation and prosecution of this offense. Several gamers have been prosecuted and convicted of performing denial of service attacks on large scale servers. So I disagree with the notion that they don’t waste their resources on “low level” crimes. DDOS is not low level regardless of the scale of the attack. You are basically hacking a person connection when you DOS someone. Anyone who has any understanding of these attacks and given enough bandwidth can do a great amount of damage to not only a single gamer but a large scale enterprise hence why there is no such thing as small scale when it comes to DDOS.

Not sure what your asking? I said its not ok to call people out on the forums, per SDS. Unless you want a suspension or ban. But it's ok to cheat and make it obvious.
